Kamala Harris made the one bad decision that could cost her the election

Oct 16, 2024

Democrats are beginning to remember why they wanted Joe Biden to drop Kamala Harris from the ticket when they thought Joe Biden was still going to be the nominee.

In the closing weeks of the campaign, Kamala Harris’ limitations are painfully obvious.

And Kamala Harris made the one bad decision that could cost her the election.

Kamala Harris’ media blitz backfired

Kamala Harris and her handlers clearly looked at the grim internal poll numbers.

That’s why Kamala Harris agreed to do a week’s worth of national interviews after only doing one in her first two months as a candidate.

Winning and confident campaigns don’t change strategy.

The fact that Kamala Harris’ handlers called an audible spoke loud and clear about their thoughts on the state of the race.

But after interviews with the Call Her Daddy podcast, The View, Stephen Colbert, and Howard Stern, Kamala Harris’ handlers looked on in horror as the results confirmed why they kept Kamala Harris sequestered away from the media in the first place.

NBC’s national poll taken in the wake of Kamala Harris’ media tour found her five-point lead over Donald Trump disappearing, and the two were tied at 48 percent.

The NBC poll had even worse news for Kamala that showed her freefall might not be over.

NBC found Kamala Harris’ favorability numbers sank nine points, as the more Americans saw of Kamala Harris, the less they liked her.

Kamala Harris’ disastrous interviews

The turning point for Kamala Harris came in interviews on The View and with Stephen Colbert, where Kamala couldn’t name one way she would be different from Joe Biden.

“There is not a thing that comes to mind in terms of — and I’ve been a part of most of the decisions that have had impact,” Harris told the horrified co-hosts of The View when asked what she would do differently than Joe Biden.

Colbert gave Kamala Harris a chance at a do-over.

Kamala Harris flubbed that one as well.

“Sure. I mean, obviously I’m not Joe Biden. So that would be one change,” Kamala Harris said, when asked how she would be different from Joe Biden.

“But also I think it’s important to say with 28 days to go, I’m not Donald Trump,” Kamala Harris continued.

Kamala Harris then unspooled a word salad that didn’t come anywhere close to separating herself from the unpopular President.

“And so when we think about the significance of what this next generation of leadership looks like — were I to be elected president — it is about frankly, I love the American people and I believe in our country. I love that that it is our character and nature to be an ambitious people. You know, we have aspirations. We have dreams. We have incredible work ethic. And I just believe that we can create and build upon the success we’ve achieved in a way that we continue to grow opportunity and in that way, grow the strength of our nation,” Kamala Harris rambled.

Kamala Harris can’t separate herself from Joe Biden.

Kamala Harris was the border czar.

And Kamala Harris was the one who cast the tie-breaking votes on the trillion-dollar-plus spending bills that kicked off the inflation crisis.
