Kamala Harris lost the Presidential Election to Donald Trump.
The question now is what comes next.
And Kamala Harris is about to make this shocking announcement about her future.
Kamala Harris 2028 comes into focusĀ
The American people told Kamala Harris they were done with her when voters delivered Donald Trump a landslide win on November 5.
But Kamala Harris didnāt take the hint.
Kamalaās now telling Americans they havenāt heard the last of her as Kamala plots a political comeback.
POLITICO reported that Kamala Harris convened a meeting with her handlers about either running for Governor of California in 2026 or launching an improbable 2028 Presidential campaign.
āBut privately, the vice president has been instructing advisers and allies to keep her options open ā whether for a possible 2028 presidential run, or even to run for governor in her home state of California in two years. As Harris has repeated in phone calls, ‘I am staying in the fight,’ā POLITICO exclusively reported.
When Al Gore, John Kerry, and Hillary Clinton lost Presidential elections, their teams tried to keep their names alive for future Presidential campaigns.
But none ever ran again.
Kamalaās handlers think she can take her time by virtue of her name recognition and fundraising network.
āShe doesnāt have to decide if she wants to run for something again in the next six months,ā One Kamala Harris handler told POLITICO.
The first step in Kamalaās comeback would be setting up a PAC and/or 501c tax-exempt group that would allow her to raise money, pay for travel, and speak out on the issues.
āThe natural thing to do would be to set up some type of entity that would give her the opportunity to travel and give speeches and preserve her political relationships,ā a Kamala Harris handler also told POLITICO.
āThere will be a desire to hear her voice, and there wonāt be a vacuum for long,ā a source close to Harris told POLITICO about the demand for Kamala Harris leading the resistance to the incoming Trump administration.
And on the same day POLITICOās story appeared, Kamala and Tim Walz announced a national grassroots supporter call to announce their next move.
One clue as to how Kamala Harris plans to proceed will be where she and husband Doug Emhoff choose to take up residence.
āThey have to decide whether theyāll take up permanent residence at their home in Los Angeles, or establish a base elsewhere,ā POLITICO reported.
If Kamala and Emhoff donāt move back to California, it would be a strong sign she has ruled out running for Governor in the Golden State in 2026.
Surprisingly, given the trouncing Donald Trump gave her, polls show Kamala Harris an early favorite in the 2028 Democrat Party Presidential primary.

But these numbers are just a function of name recognition.
Democrats and the media know Kamala Harris is a bad candidate who couldnāt sit for interviews because she canāt speak without a script.
The massive fundraising juggernaut she assembled was built on Joe Biden being at the top of the ticket and what came in after Harris took over was simply a function of her being the other name on the ballot opposite Donald Trump.
In reality, there is no appetite for another Kamala Harris run at any level.
Democrats only tolerated Kamala Harris and all her flaws because they had no other choice following Joe Biden quitting the 2024 Presidential race under pressure.
