Kamala Harris’ handlers hoped to pull off a sleight of hand by having MSNBC host Stephanie Ruhle interview Kamala Harris.
The goal was to quiet the growing attacks on Kamala Harris for not answering questions about her past record and policy agenda for the next four years.
But in reality, even the liberal media saw that the interview was really Kamala Harris sitting down with a superfan so she could claim she subjected herself to an interview without facing any real questions.
Even the New York Times called Kamala Harris out for this obvious stunt.
The Times wrote that “she[Kamala Harris] largely avoided direct questions about how she would govern and why some voters remain fond of former President Donald J. Trump’s stewardship of the economy.”
Jesse Watters had a good idea about why Kamala Harris avoided giving straight forward answers.
That was because Watters claimed if she shot straight with the American people about her plans to raise taxes by $5 trillion dollars or give amnesty to more than 20,000 illegal aliens, support for her campaign would collapse.
Watters told viewers of his Fox News show that “the interview focused on the economy, something Kamala can’t talk about. Because if she said what her plan was, she’d lose in a landslide.”

Watters called out Kamala Harris for dancing around a question asked by Ruhle about what Kamala Harris would say to Americans who don’t see themselves in her policies.
“Kamala was just asked about her policies. She rambled and then said, the American dream is gone. She’s been in power for four years and said the American dream is gone. She just sank her campaign. But that was just the beginning,” Watters began.
Kamala Harris admitted the American dream of owning a home is now out of reach for too many Americans.
“And homeownership for too many people in our country now is elusive. You know, gone is the day of everyone thinking they could actually live the American dream,” Kamala Harris told Ruhle.
That’s because the socialist spending that Kamala Harris helped jam through Congress caused inflation to shoot through the roof.
The Federal Reserve raised interest rates to try and force the inflation genie back in the bottle by raising interest rates.
Interest rates on a 30-year fixed mortgage is over seven percent.
That’s up more than double from where it was in 2020 when Donald Trump was President when the 30-year fixed mortgage sat at a much more reasonable 3.18 percent.
Kamala Harris can’t engage directly on the economy because that would open her up to a debate with Donald Trump on who the American people thought would better put forth a policy agenda to improve the lives of the public.
