Greg Gutfeld couldn’t believe Donald Trump had this reaction to the assassination attempt

Donald Trump has dodged a bullet.

Literally.

And Greg Gutfeld couldn’t believe Donald Trump had this reaction to the assassination attempt.

Gutfeld shocked to see how casually Trump deals with assassination attempts

Donald Trump capped off a whirlwind day of campaigning in New York by appearing on Greg Gutfeld’s Fox News show.

Consistent with the lighthearted approach that turned him into one of the biggest stars on all of cable news, Gutfeld joked about the recent attempt on Trump’s life at his Florida golf course.

“Mr. T, how’s your golf game?” Gutfeld wondered.

Both Trump and Gutfeld could share a moment of levity about this incident because no one was hurt.

“Well, I haven’t been thinking about it too much lately. I always said golf was a very dangerous game,” Trump snarked back.

“It really is, especially if they’re playing with you,” Gutfeld responded in a joke referencing the businessman named Steve Witkoff who was playing golf with Trump the day an assassin tried to gun him down.

“What? That was a mean joke?” a sarcastic Gutfeld said as the crowd oohed.

“If they had told you that the shooter was there, would you have tried to take him out with your 3 wood?” Gutfeld then asked Trump.

Trump, whose prowess as a golfer is well-known, cracked that he would have tried a long-distance shot with a golf ball if he knew the assassin was lying in wait, then pivoted to praising the Secret Service for foiling the plot and eventually helping lead to the assassin’s arrest.

“I think so. I think so, if I knew,” Trump replied. “Actually, the Secret Service did a great job. They saw the barrel of a gun, big gun, and he came out through bushes, and how many people would see that? He really was very exceptional to have done it.”

Gutfeld stunned to see who Trump credits for saving his life

An assassin in Pennsylvania shot Trump in the head.

A second assassin invaded his home golf course with the intent to kill him.

Yet Gutfeld couldn’t believe how casually Trump treated these near-death experiences.

“I get more angry when my pant pocket gets caught on a doorknob than you get angry about getting shot at. How do you process that?” Gutfeld asked.

Trump told Gutfeld he could be so serene about these events because there is nothing he can do about them and that he believes God was looking out for him and spared him on both occasions.

“What am I going to do, right?… Fortunately, so far I’ve been very lucky — or something is greater than all of us,” Trump stated.
