Declassified FBI Files Just Revealed What Agents Tracked on Barron Trump and Susie Wiles

Oct 10, 2026

FBI agents raided Mar a Lago on August 8 2022 while Donald Trump lived there as a private citizen.

Declassified documents just revealed the surveillance started months before agents ever reached his front door.

Those files expose exactly how far Biden's FBI went tracking Trump's wife, his teenage son, and his closest aide.

Pre-Raid Checklist Ordered Agents to Track a Minor's Flight Plans

Newly declassified records released on October 6, 2026, lay out what FBI agents were told to do before they ever set foot on the property.

Internal planning emails from late May 2022 show agents preparing warrant logistics under an operation agents called Plasmic Echo.

Pre-raid checklists obtained in the release explicitly instructed agents to "finalize FBI understanding of FPOTUS/FLOTUS/minor son's travel."

That meant tracking Melania Trump's movements, and tracking the travel plans of a teenage boy who had broken no law and held no office.

Agents logged aircraft types and arrival windows for the family as they finalized plans for the search that followed in June 2022.

Then-FBI Director Christopher Wray recommended proceeding, and Attorney General Merrick Garland signed off on the operation.

The raid took place that August, and Special Counsel Jack Smith took over the investigation three months later, that November.

Agents Recorded a Privileged Call Wiles Never Knew Was Monitored

The surveillance did not stop once agents walked out of Mar a Lago with their boxes.

Between February and May 2023, agents used a Pen Register Trap and Trace tool to monitor calls, texts, and voicemails on Susie Wiles' phone in real time.

Wiles was Trump's campaign manager at the time, and now serves as his White House chief of staff.

Anonymous FBI officials now admit agents recorded a phone call between Wiles and her attorney without her knowledge, even though her lawyer knew the call was happening.

The monitoring swept in more than a dozen defense attorneys, five journalists, and Trump campaign advisers who had nothing to do with any crime.

Those five journalists were never suspects in anything; their calls simply ran through Wiles' line during the same two-month window agents were already logging it in real time.

The attorney on the monitored call was representing Wiles in matters connected directly to the documents investigation.

That is precisely the kind of privileged conversation Justice Department filter-team rules exist to wall off from the agents running a case.

Records of the operation were filed under a "Prohibited" classification, the kind of label that keeps a file from surfacing in a routine search.

Kash Patel, then a private citizen and now FBI Director, found out his own phone records were swept up in the exact same dragnet.

"It is outrageous and deeply alarming that the previous FBI leadership secretly subpoenaed my own phone records," Patel said after the discovery became public.

More than a dozen FBI employees have since been terminated after investigators found the records buried in the bureau's prohibited case file.

The Bureau Has Done This to Trump Before and Gotten Caught Before

This is not the first time a Trump campaign found federal agents listening in before anyone proved a crime.

The 2019 inspector general report on Crossfire Hurricane documented serious errors in the FISA warrant applications used to surveil campaign adviser Carter Page, including omitted exculpatory evidence.

Page later sued the people who spied on him for 75 million dollars, arguing the surveillance was built on a flawed and one-sided case.

Eight years later, the pattern looks familiar: a Democrat-appointed FBI leadership team, a legal investigation used as the vehicle, and a Trump family member or adviser on the other end of the wiretap.

The difference this time is the age of one target: a boy who was only fifteen when that pre-raid checklist went out.

Parents do not expect federal agents to build a travel file on their teenager because of his last name, and conservative voters who lived through Crossfire Hurricane will recognize exactly what this is.

The FBI fired the employees who buried these records once they surfaced, but no one has explained who approved tracking a minor in the first place, and voters deserve that answer before the next election cycle, not after it.
