Cher doesn’t want anyone to know about one secret that will make your blood boil

Cher is one of the most famous singers in the world.

But everyone has skeletons in their closet.

And Cher doesn’t want anyone to know about one secret that will make your blood boil.

Rand Paul exposes celebrities taking advantage of taxpayer money

Kentucky Senator Rand Paul is the most dedicated opponent of government waste in Washington.

Paul never voted to raise the debt ceiling and is constantly offering plans to balance the budget through real spending cuts.

The establishment hates that Paul forces the Senate to actually debate spending bills where he exposes how the swamp lards up these boondoggles with billions of dollars in waste, fraud, and abuse.

Paul’s latest target was the fact that celebrities can take advantage of the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP).

First on the list was acclaimed actor Nicolas Cage.

“Boy, that’s a nice house, [worth] 4.2 million in New Orleans – also eligible for government insurance,” Paul began.

“Look, I love Nicholas Cage. I’d go to parties at his house too… I would pay to go to see his movies, but I don’t think we should buy insurance for his home,” Paul added.

“If he can get a $4.2 million home, I’ll bet you he can buy his own insurance,” Paul continued.

Paul noted that taxpayers also subsidized Matt Damon’s insurance for his palatial estate.

“Matt Damon, he’s had a lot of good movies, man, he must be doing great. His place cost $20 million and it’s eligible for government insurance too,” Paul continued.

“Hmm, you think Matt Damon would be embarrassed to find out that the government is subsidizing his first $250,000? Shouldn’t we all be embarrassed?” Paul asked his colleagues.

Paul pointed out that the NFIP is a money-losing venture, so the first step in getting out of the red would be telling wealthy Hollywood hotshots like Matt Damon that they can buy their own flood insurance.

“The program is $16 billion in the hole, and we want to renew a program without any reforms – just keep doing it, keeps losing money. Just keep doing the same thing. Maybe Matt Damon can buy his own insurance,” Paul declared.

Legendary singers were among those in on the grift, getting aboard the taxpayer gravy train.

“Phil Collins, he made some good music – must have been some great music. His home is worth $40,000,000 in Biscayne Bay, Florida – also eligible for government insurance,” Paul stated.

Cher owned a $42 million home but still got taxpayer subsidized flood insurance.

“Cher, she’s been doing well for a long time,” Paul remarked. “She has a $42 million place in Miami Beach, also eligible for government insurance.”

Paul said enough was enough, and with a $36 trillion national debt it was time for Congress to get serious about the spending crisis before it destroyed American prosperity.

“You know, we could go on and on, but the thing is, this doesn’t mean we don’t like rich people or appreciate their success. I’m all for it. I’m just not for giving them free stuff. Why would we give them subsidized insurance?” Paul asked.

“The program costs billions of dollars, it’s thirty, forty, fifty billion dollars in the hole any which way you measure it,” Paul concluded. “Why don’t we tell rich people to buy your own insurance?”

Paul then offered an amendment to establish price caps on properties protected by the NFIP, which would allow wealthy homeowners to purchase their own flood insurance.

But Louisiana Senator John Kennedy blocked Paul’s request for unanimous consent, meaning the amendment died as it would need 60 votes to pass.
