Ben Affleck Just Showed Jennifer Aniston One Thing That Made Her Beg Him To Destroy It

Feb 2, 2026

Ben Affleck has turned one obsession into a goldmine.

The Oscar winner made $10 million from it as a result of the 2023 Super Bowl and became the face of America's most Boston brand.

And Ben Affleck just showed Jennifer Aniston one thing that made her beg him to destroy it.

Affleck's Secret VHS Tape Has TV Legends Panicking

Dunkin' dropped its latest Super Bowl teaser during Sunday night's Grammy Awards broadcast.

The clip opens with Affleck ejecting a VHS tape labeled "Network Pilot '95 v3" from a TV.

Sitting across from him are three of the biggest sitcom stars from the 1990s: Jennifer Aniston and Matt LeBlanc from Friends, and Jason Alexander from Seinfeld.

Affleck asks for their "reactions, thoughts, love, or affection" after showing them whatever disaster was on that tape.

The response tells you everything.

Aniston immediately shakes her head no before Affleck even finishes his pitch.

That's when the Batman actor goes into full salesman mode with a pitch only he could make.

"Hear me out. What's hot now? Cringe. I have monster cringe. Golden cringe," Affleck declares in his thick Boston accent.

Jason Alexander mutters under his breath about how this is somehow the same man who directed the Best Picture-winning Argo.

Then Aniston delivers the verdict that will haunt Affleck until February 8.

"No one can see this," the Friends star begs.

Affleck tries to reassure her with a promise that should worry everyone: "It's only going to air once."

That's right—whatever embarrassing footage Affleck has from 1995 is getting unleashed during Super Bowl LX.

The Boston Massacre Continues Its Reign

This marks Affleck's fourth consecutive year dominating Super Bowl advertising for Dunkin'.

The partnership has become the most successful celebrity endorsement deal in recent memory.

Affleck's 2023 debut featured him working a Dunkin' drive-thru when his then-wife Jennifer Lopez pulled up for her order.

The ad generated 7 billion media impressions.

An insider told CNN that Dunkin' sold more donuts the day after the Super Bowl than any other day in company history.

For the 2024 game, Affleck formed "The DunKings" boyband with Matt Damon and Tom Brady.

The trio crashed J.Lo's recording studio wearing bright orange tracksuits to audition for her album.

Fat Joe and Jack Harlow watched in horror as the Boston legends delivered what Affleck called "the Boston Massacre."

Last year's 2025 spot brought back the DunKings with an all-star Boston lineup.

Affleck recruited his brother Casey, Succession star Jeremy Strong, and Kevin Smith with Jason Mewes.

The extended cut featured cameos from Bill Belichick, Donnie Wahlberg, and comedian Druski.

Now Affleck is bringing sitcom royalty into the Dunkin' universe with stars from shows that defined 1990s television.

Friends premiered in September 1994 and ran for 10 seasons, becoming one of the most successful sitcoms in TV history.

Seinfeld ended its legendary nine-season run in 1998 after dominating NBC's Thursday night lineup.

These weren't just hit shows—they were cultural phenomena that millions of Americans grew up watching.

And Affleck apparently has footage from 1995 involving something so cringeworthy that even these comedy veterans want it buried forever.

What's On That Tape Should Terrify Everyone

The VHS label "Network Pilot '95 v3" suggests Affleck tried to sell a TV show idea during the height of the sitcom era.

Version 3 means he pitched it at least twice before and got rejected.

The year 1995 puts this right in the middle of when Friends and Seinfeld ruled television.

Every network was desperately searching for the next big sitcom hit.

Studios were greenlighting anything that seemed remotely promising.

If Affleck's pilot didn't make it past the pitch room in that environment, you know it had to be spectacularly bad.

The reactions in the teaser confirm Affleck's project deserves to stay buried in the 1990s.

Aniston's immediate head shake suggests genuine horror at what she just watched.

Alexander questioning how the Argo director could have created such a disaster shows even comedy legends have standards.

LeBlanc, a Newton, Massachusetts native like Affleck, appears equally mortified despite their shared Boston roots.

But Affleck sees opportunity where everyone else sees career-ending embarrassment.

His pitch about "monster cringe" and "golden cringe" being hot right now isn't entirely wrong.

Social media has created an entire economy around nostalgic content and things that are so bad they're good.

Failed pilots from the 1990s have become YouTube gold for their awkward acting and dated references.

Affleck is banking on viewers wanting to see what kind of sitcom disaster an Oscar winner created before he became a household name.

The full Super Bowl ad airs February 8 during the matchup between the Patriots and Seahawks.

Whatever Affleck has on that VHS tape, Jennifer Aniston made it clear the world isn't ready for it.
