Americans Just Learned Biden Threatened America’s Birthday With Deals That Turned America250 into a Democrat Slush Fund

Jun 5, 2026

Rosie Rios, Biden's handpicked chair of America250, deleted her Pride Month post the day Trump won.

Now tax filings show what she and Biden were quietly building for your 250th birthday party.

They nearly pulled it off.

The Mission Statement That Told You Everything

America250 isn't some obscure bureaucracy.

Congress created it in 2016 to plan the largest patriotic celebration in American history – the 250th anniversary of the Declaration of Independence.

Barack Obama signed the original commission.

Donald Trump reauthorized it in 2020.

For years, the stated mission was to "engage all Americans in what will be the largest and most inclusive celebration and commemoration in our nation's history."

Then Biden's team got hold of it.

By 2023, that mission statement had quietly changed.

America250 was now seeking to "deepen understanding of America's complicated past" – the kind of language that, in Washington, is code for anti-America propaganda.

The same year that mission statement changed, the money started flowing.

According to America250's official 990 tax filings, two Democrat consulting firms received more than $6 million combined in 2023 alone – accounting for more than half of the organization's entire annual spending.

Precision Strategies pulled in $3,667,828.

SKDKnickerbocker collected $2,664,095.

The next three contractors on the list averaged roughly $300,000 each.

Parker Thayer, investigative researcher at the Capital Research Center, told The Federalist that America250 appeared to be "a slush fund for very powerful Democrat consulting firms."

Biden Handed Millions in America250 Funds to the Same Firms That Ran His Campaign

These are not neutral communications shops.

Precision Strategies was co-founded by Jen O'Malley Dillon – Biden's own campaign manager in 2020 and Harris campaign chair in 2024.

The firm's clients read like a who's who of the radical left: Planned Parenthood Votes, the Democratic National Committee, Kamala Harris for President, the ACLU, the Human Rights Campaign, and March for Our Lives.

Their one Republican client in recent memory: Steve Daines for Montana.

Precision also works for Mark Zuckerberg's FWD.us, a group focused entirely on amnesty and open borders, and States Newsroom – a network of outlets bankrolled by the Arabella Advisors dark money machine that masquerades as local journalism.

In Oklahoma, Precision ran what they called a criminal justice "reform" campaign designed to push soft-on-crime policies through a conservative legislature.

Thayer's translation was blunter: "fooling Republicans into voting for soft on crime bills."

SKDKnickerbocker's résumé is just as damning.

The firm ran Biden's presidential campaign and later used its California government contracts to feed conservative speech from Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, and Google into so-called "misinformation" removal pipelines.

SKDK's leadership includes Anita Dunn – Obama's White House Communications Director and Biden's Senior Advisor – along with former DNC spokesman Doug Thornell and Hilary Rosen, founder of the Time's Up Legal Defense Fund.

Under Obama, SKDK ran PR campaigns against the Defense of Marriage Act and handled communications for Planned Parenthood and the Human Rights Campaign.

In 2020, the firm received a $35 million no-bid contract from California to run a supposedly "nonpartisan" voter registration drive while simultaneously working on Biden's presidential campaign.

A California taxpayers association sued, calling it an illegal use of public funds.

These are the people Biden chose to celebrate America's 250th birthday.

What Trump Stopped Before It Reached Your TV Screen

Rios gave a preview of the version of July 4th they were building.

In a June 2024 post – deleted the moment Trump won – she celebrated "trailblazers" most Americans have never heard of, including Harvey Milk, an admitted sexual predator whose victims included teenage boys.

That was the America250 they were preparing: Pride Month tributes, FDR socialism repackaged as a founding principle, and years of Precision and SKDK messaging designed to make you feel guilty about your own country's birthday.

Then Trump won, and the programming they'd built was suddenly unusable.

Trump's task force stepped in and took over the celebration – and thirty days from now, more than a million Americans will gather on the National Mall for Freedom 250.

Compare that to what Biden's team was delivering.

In 1976, America celebrated its bicentennial one year after losing Vietnam, in the middle of the Watergate aftermath.

The nation was exhausted.

And yet Queen Elizabeth sailed to New York Harbor.

Tall ships paraded up the Hudson River.

The National Air and Space Museum opened on the National Mall.

Two million people descended on Philadelphia.

Nobody needed a consulting firm to explain America's complicated past.

Biden spent millions making sure that kind of celebration would never happen in 2026.

Trump is the reason it still might.
