George W. Bush’s Attorney General endorses Kamala Harris
George W. Bush’s Vice President Dick Cheney endorsed Kamala Harris.
And now George W. Bush’s Attorney General Alberto Gonzales endorsed Kamala Harris.
George W. Bush himself claims he isn’t endorsing anyone in this race.
But Bush’s silence speaks volumes.
If Bush wanted to, he could put word out that his underlings should keep their powder dry and not publicly endorse Kamala Harris.
Bush didn’t.
That means Bush is onboard with supporting Kamala Harris.
It’s just that Bush wants to keep his hands clean so he can try and shape the future of the Republican Party if Trump loses in November as anyone who publicly backed Kamala Harris might as well change their party registration to Democrat.
Gonzales’ rationale for endorsing Kamala Harris
Back in 2007, Democrats wanted to jail Gonzales claiming he perjured himself when he testified before Congress about prisoner abuses at Abu Ghraib.
Now the media fetes Gonzales because he’s anti-Trump.

In his POLITICO op-ed endorsing Kamala Harris, Gonzales leaned into the big lie that Donald Trump is a threat to democracy.
Gonzales claimed to be a defender of the Constitution despite the fact that he supported the illegal warrantless wiretapping that the FBI deployed against Donald Trump’s team in the Russia collusion hoax.
“The American presidency is the most powerful position in the world. Of course, our constitution and laws, as well as institutions such as Congress and our courts, act as guardrails to that power. The law provides the certainty of accountability and fundamental fairness. Yet it is the president’s integrity, honesty and respect for our institutions that may be the most important and reliable check on abuses of power,” Gonzales wrote.
Faulty logic at play
Gonzales then claimed Donald Trump was a threat to democracy despite the fact that it was Kamala Harris weaponizing the justice system to jail Donald Trump on fake crimes.
“As the United States approaches a critical election, I can’t sit quietly as Donald Trump — perhaps the most serious threat to the rule of law in a generation — eyes a return to the White House. For that reason, though I’m a Republican, I’ve decided to support Kamala Harris for president,” Gonzales added.
Gonzales then claimed Trump lacked the character to be President while ignoring the fact that Kamala Harris supports open borders, $5 trillion in tax increases and imposing one party rule on America by packing the Supreme Court.
“The character of the person we elect in November is particularly important today because the current members of the House of Representatives and the Senate have proven spectacularly incapable or unwilling to check abuses of executive power,” Gonzales continued.
“Power is intoxicating and based on Trump’s rhetoric and conduct it appears unlikely that he would respect the power of the presidency in all instances; rather, he would abuse it for personal and political gain, and not on behalf of the American people,” Gonzales added.
The Bush wing of the GOP openly siding with Kamala Harris confirms what conservatives long suspected – the GOP establishment hates its own base more than the Democrats.
