A Kentucky Attorney Just Demolished the Vile Smear Neocons Lobbed Against Thomas Massie Just Days Before His Primary

May 12, 2026

Billionaires already tried a fake AI video to destroy Thomas Massie before his primary.

When that failed, someone handed Cynthia West a microphone.

A Kentucky family law attorney just pulled her October 2024 court record and it ended the story cold.

Thomas Massie Targeted With Abuse Allegations That Collapse Under Attorney's Legal Review

Kentucky State Rep. Steven Doan is not a political commentator.

He is a practicing family law attorney who has spent years in courtrooms representing real domestic violence victims – both men and women.

When a sworn statement from Cynthia West began circulating online alleging emotional abuse by Congressman Thomas Massie, Doan did what lawyers do.

He examined the record.

After listening to West's statement twice, Doan posted his professional assessment on May 12 – and it is devastating for anyone treating these allegations as credible.

"There were no claims of physical abuse, no harassing communications, no documented threats, and no evidence of any kind," Doan wrote, "only vague assertions without supporting facts."

That alone would raise red flags for any attorney.

But Doan did not stop there.

Cynthia West Filed False Abuse Allegations in October 2024 and a Florida Judge Dismissed Them

Doan pulled the available court record and found that during the very same period West claims she was involved with Massie, she filed sworn accusations of emotional and physical abuse against the father of her children.

On October 1, 2024, West signed an affidavit alleging abuse.

A judge reviewed all the evidence and dismissed the allegations in full.

That is the legal history of the person now making explosive claims against a sitting congressman days before a primary election.

Doan was direct: "Ms. West has a documented history of making false abuse allegations."

One of the individuals amplifying West's unverified claims is Eric Deters – Massie's own primary opponent in 2024, who pulled 11.5% of the vote and lost badly.

The fingerprints on this operation are not hard to read.

Conservatives and The Internet Clear Thomas Massie – Smear Exposed With Days Before Voters Decide

Doan is not the only prominent conservative quickly calling this out.

Doug Stafford – Rand Paul's longtime chief of staff and one of the most respected operatives in the liberty movement – posted his own assessment today on X.

"First there was a libelous and fake AI video," Stafford wrote. "Now made up, completely without substantiation allegations from a serial accuser. Neocons are desperate, and it shows."

He is right – and the sequence he describes matters.

Weeks before the West story broke, a pro-Gallrein super PAC called MAGA KY was already running AI-generated deepfake ads depicting Massie in a fabricated romantic relationship with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Ilhan Omar.

Marjorie Taylor Greene called the ad a violation of the TAKE IT DOWN Act – the law President Trump signed – and stated flatly that Massie had "never dined, held hands with, or intimately engaged" with either congresswoman.

The AI smear failed.

So now comes Cynthia West.

This is not a scandal breaking at an inconvenient time.

This is a playbook running in sequence – fake video, then unverified personal allegations – with just days left before Kentucky's 4th District votes on May 19.

Not Surprising The Swamp and Foreign Agents Are Going All Out

Massie has spent years in Congress as one of the few members willing to stand up to both parties when they overstep.

Outside groups have already poured more than $25 million into this race – the most expensive House primary in American history – to remove him from office over his opposition to a single spending bill.

When that money failed to move the numbers, the deepfakes started.

When the deepfakes failed, the personal smears started.

Steven Doan – a family law attorney who has dedicated his career to protecting real abuse victims – put it plainly: "False claims like these do real harm – not just to the accused, but to every legitimate victim seeking justice."

Every voter in Kentucky's 4th District needs to see exactly what is happening here before they cast a ballot on May 19.
