A Fox News star stunned viewers into silence with this bombshell about Pete Hegseth

Donald Trump’s embattled nominee for Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, is facing an inflection point.

Hegseth is fighting to keep his nomination alive.

And a Fox News star stunned viewers into silence with this bombshell about Pete Hegseth.

Hegseth salvages nomination

The left-wing media and Washington, D.C., Swamp RINOs like Senator Joni Ernst (R-IA) colluded to take down Hegseth because Hegseth believes in Trump’s America First agenda and will help Trump end the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East.

Hegseth’s nomination looked on the rocks thanks to a media smear campaign using anonymous sources claiming Hegseth was an alcoholic as well as false allegations of sexual assault.

But Hegseth fought for his nomination.

Hegseth put the media in its place with a takedown of their phony journalism that went viral.

Hegseth also met with key GOP Senators – such as Ernst and incoming Senate Armed Services Committee Chairman Roger Wicker (R-MS) – and didn’t have any come out publicly opposing his nomination.

Fox & Friends co-host Brian Kilmeade reported on the air that he’d been speaking with Trump transition officials, and they think Hegseth’s chances of winning confirmation look good.

“We talked to a high-ranking Trump official last night,” Kilmeade began.

“Which one?” co-host Ainsley Earhardt interjected.

Kilmeade wouldn’t name names, but the message he got from the transition was what was actually important.

And that’s the fact that the Trump team is optimistic about Hegseth’s chances and willing to fight for him.

“I’ll try to mention. If I can get permission,” Kilmeade added. “And Pete’s looking good. Yeah, Pete has made huge progress yesterday as Secretary of Defense.”

Kilmeade explained that Hegseth’s in person meetings with Senators built support for Hegseth as they got to see the actual human being and not the caricature of a boozy frat boy the fake news media used anonymous sources to create.

“You know why? Because he’s saying what he represents,” Kilmeade continued. “They get a chance to see him, not the anonymous reporting. And as Will Cain brought up yesterday if you want to do a balanced story, call us. Yeah, you got the negativity. At least make the phone call and say, is this the one person you know? And then focus on his book and what he stands for and debate that.”

Trump also knows the Washington, D.C., Swamp won’t stop with Hegseth.

The plan is to pick off all his MAGA nominees one by one.

That began with Matt Gaetz.

The character assassination continued with Pete Hegseth.

And it will continue with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and Tulsi Gabbard unless Trump draws a line in the sand.
