The crews over at CNN spend all day fuming over Donald Trump.
They can’t handle any challenge to their left-wing worldview.
And a CNN panel erupted into chaos after one devastating reality check about Donald Trump.
Journalists meltdown over White House change in press policy
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt caused a media meltdown after she announced that the White House Correspondents Association would no longer choose the press pool.
The 13-member press pool can ask the President questions in smaller settings like the Oval Office.
Now, the Trump White House is choosing the journalists who can participate instead of a private organization made up of left-wing journalists.
Eugene Daniels, the president of the White House Correspondents Association, is leaving Politico to host a weekend show on MSNBC.
A panel on CNN NewsNight overreacted to the change in press pool policy by claiming that it was an assault on the First Amendment and a move straight out of a dictatorship.
Former Democratic National Committee Communications Director Xochitl Hinojosa claimed it was like something out of “the early days of Putin’s reign.”
“When Trump doesn’t like a question, he doesn’t like a story in the New York Times, he doesn’t like anything that someone says about him, he can ban those individuals,” Hinojosa ranted. “That’s something a dictator would do. That is something that is scary frankly.”
CNN contributor Scott Jennings is often the lone Republican voice on the network’s panels.
He gave the hysterical panel a reality check.
“Okay, can we just address this dictator business? I’m going to quote from some statistics,” Jennings said.
Jennings pointed out that President Donald Trump fielded 1009 questions from the press during his first month in office.
“Hardly dictatorial behavior. Same stat for Joe Biden: 141,” Jennings stated.
CNN and the media ignore Joe Biden’s assault on press freedom
The Trump White House didn’t revoke the credentials of any journalists.
It only changed the rotation of the journalists who will participate in the press pool.
Jennings noted that former President Joe Biden actually revoked the credentials of journalists in 2023.
“I would remind you all that in 2023, the Biden administration revoked the hard passes of 442 journalists,” Jennings said. “And at the time, the White House Correspondents Association took ‘a non-committal stance.’ So if you’re worried about transparency, Trump is being far more transparent than any recent administration.”
The White House Correspondents Association didn’t care that Biden restricted the number of journalists who had access.
It’s a cartel made up of legacy media journalists who want to control access and don’t like having its power challenged by the Trump White House.
CNN and the White House Correspondents Association are fuming that Leavitt has opened up press access to new media outlets like podcasts.
The legacy media has been declining in influence and reach in recent years.
Leavitt welcomed correspondents from outlets like Steve Bannon’s War Room podcast, Real America’s Voice, and One America News Network.
The Trump White House is breaking the monopoly the legacy media held over coverage.
