Laura Ingraham appointed to the board of the Kennedy Center
President Donald Trump ruffled feathers in the Washington, D.C. Swamp when he fired the board of trustees, which included former White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre, and the President of the Kennedy Center.
The government-owned Kennedy Center is a “National Cultural Center” with a theater, concert hall, and opera house that puts on performing arts events.
In recent years, it hosted the cultural rot the woke Left promoted.
“Just last year, the Kennedy Center featured Drag Shows specifically targeting our youth — THIS WILL STOP,” Trump wrote on Truth Social. “The Kennedy Center is an American Jewel, and must reflect the brightest STARS on its stage from all across our Nation. For the Kennedy Center, THE BEST IS YET TO COME!”
Trump named himself as the chairman and named Presidential envoy Ric Grenell as the interim executive director.
He announced that Fox News hosts Laura Ingraham and Maria Bartiromo were added to the board of trustees at the Kennedy Center.
“I am thrilled to announce that Laura Ingraham and Maria Bartiromo will be joining our Kennedy Center Board – This completes our selection. We look forward to restoring the Center to Greatness, and ushering in America’s Golden Age. Together, we will Make the Arts Great Again!” Trump wrote on Truth Social.
The Fox News hosts joined White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles, Second Lady Usha Vance, and Deputy Chief of Staff Dan Scavino.

The Left acted like this was an outrageous takeover over an allegedly nonpartisan institution.
Various artists who served at the Kennedy Center stepped down after Trump cleaned house there.
Alternative rock star Ben Folds stepped down from his role as artistic advisor to the National Symphony Orchestra.
The Broadway musical Hamilton decided to cancel shows at the Kennedy Center after Trump’s takeover.
Comedian Bill Maher slammed the Left for its “exclusionary attitude” about the Kennedy Center during the overtime segment of his show Real Time.
He argued that the Kennedy Center had already been politicized for a long time.
“I will say this in defense of the other side on this one, because I watched the Kennedy Center Honors this year. It was in December. It’s always in December. I always watch it. And this year they honored Francis Ford Coppola and the Grateful Dead,” Maher recalled.
Maher admitted that the crowd was made up of Democrats.
“If this is supposed to be America, and we’re all together, and you just lost, invite some of the people who you wouldn’t suspect to be there. I’m sure Ted Cruz or somebody like that likes Francis Ford Coppola, everybody likes The Godfather. I’m sure there are some Republicans who are Grateful Dead fans. And it’s just like, ‘No.’ The mean girls were like, ‘No, it’s our last time. And this is what you get,’” Maher explained.
The Kennedy Center is one of the growing number of Washington, D.C. institutions getting a makeover from Donald Trump.
