Donald Trump has barely been President for two weeks.
Democrats are already going off the deep end.
And now Democrats want to impeach Trump for one insane reason.
Democrat announces new impeachment hoax
In October 2017, Congressman Al Green (D-TX) introduced articles of impeachment against Donald Trump.
Green claimed Trump was a racist needing to be removed from office because he opposed NFL players kneeling for the national anthem.
Green at least waited nine months in Trump’s first term to introduce articles of impeachment.
In Trump’s second term, Green couldn’t wait to pull the trigger on impeachment.
Green announced that within two weeks, he would be introducing articles of impeachment against Donald Trump.
In a speech on the floor of the House of Representatives, Green declared that Trump’s proposed plan to relocate the Palestinians from Gaza and rebuild the strip into the “Riviera of the Middle East” amounted to the war crime of “ethnic cleansing.”
“Ethnic cleansing in Gaza is no joke, and the Prime Minister of Israel should be ashamed, knowing the history of his people, to stand there and allow such things to be said. Ethnic cleansing has been a crime against humanity,” Green began.
Trump is on record saying there will be no U.S. troops on the ground, and other countries will pay for the rebuild.
Green claimed a “threat” to Gaza – which Hamas used as staging ground for terrorist attacks on Israel such as the October 7 attack – is a “threat to justice everywhere.”
“I stand here today in the well to denounce what he said, to denounce what the President said, to denounce the complicity of the Prime Minister of Israel, and to remind people that Dr. King was right. Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere, and injustice in Gaza is a threat to justice in the United States of America,” Green added.
Calling Trump’s proposal “dastardly,” Green vowed to introduce articles of impeachment.
“I rise to announce that the movement to impeach the president has begun. I rise to announce that I will bring articles of impeachment against the president for dastardly deeds proposed and dastardly deeds done,” Green continued.
Green then admitted impeachment was a political stunt to try and gin up a resistance movement to Trump.
“I also rise to say that the impeachment movement is going to be a grass up movement, not a top down. The people have got to move forward. The people have to demand it, and when the people demand it, it will be done. I did it before. I laid the foundation for impeachment, and it was done. Nobody knows more about it than I, and I know that it’s time for us to lay the foundation again,” Green concluded.
Trump’s proposed U.S. ownership stake in Gaza was met with heavy skepticism in his own party.
Normal allies, like Missouri Senator Josh Hawley, said taxpayer money would be better spent at home.
Even warmongers, like Lindsey Graham, sounded opposed.
But the plan isn’t impeachment worthy.
