Donald Trump’s winning streak continues.
It’s another black eye for the media.
And ABC News admitted defeat to Donald Trump in this shocking surrender in court.
ABC News settles defamation suit
Donald Trump didn’t just crush the left-wing media in the 2024 election.
Trump also humiliated the pro-Democrat press in court.
Trump pulled off the impossible and won a defamation suit as a public figure.
Someone like Trump winning a defamation case is extremely difficult because of the legal standard involved.
Not only does the statement made about them have to be false, but the public figures also have to prove whoever made the defamatory statement knew it was false at the time they said it.
ABC News knuckled under to Donald Trump’s defamation suit against the network and star anti-Trump anchor George Stephanopoulos and settled rather than go to trial.
Trump sued for defamation after Stephanopoulos called him an adjudicated rapist during a March interview with RINO South Carolina Congresswoman Nancy Mace in March of this year.
“You’ve endorsed Donald Trump for president. Judges and two separate juries have found him liable for rape and for defaming the victim of that rape,” Stephanopoulos stated.
Stephanopoulos then used the word rape 10 times in the course of the interview with Mace.

Stephanopoulos was referring to the E.J. Carroll show trial where Carroll sued for defamation after Trump denied her allegation that Trump raped her in a Manhattan department store dressing room in the mid 1990s.
The Judge in that case awarded Carroll $5 million – a paltry sum given Trump’s networth and the accusation – after the jury held Trump liable for sexual abuse.
Trump was cleared of rape allegation
Jurors checked “no” on the verdict form on the question as to if Trump raped Carroll.
ABC News will now pay $15 million to the Donald Trump Presidential Library foundation.
“Presidential foundation and museum to be established by or for Plaintiff, as Presidents of the United States of America have established in the past,” the settlement stated.
When Trump builds his library, many expect there to be a sign saying the exhibits from Trump’s time dealing with the left-wing media were paid for by ABC News and George Stephanopoulos defaming him.
ABC was also forced to publish a humiliating apology on their website.
“ABC News and George Stephanopoulos regret statements regarding President Donald J. Trump made during an interview by George Stephanopoulos with Rep. Nancy Mace on ABC’s This Week on March 10, 2024,” ABC’s apology read.
ABC settled just 24 hours after a judge ordered both Trump and Stephanopoulos to sit for depositions.
Critics contend the network likely feared that the discovery phase of the trial would unearth embarrassing text messages and emails from Stephanopoulos and other network officials that would show ABC was completely biased against Donald Trump and operating like a Super PAC to try and defeat him in the 2024 election.
This is the second black eye for ABC coming out of the 2024 election.
Moderators Linsey Davis and David Muir incorrectly fact checked Donald Trump during the September 10 debate to falsely claim that Democrats didn’t support aborting babies born alive following failed abortion procedures and that crime was down under Joe Biden and Kamala Harris.
Muir and Davis’ performance should have been enough for Americans to conclude ABC wasn’t a real news network.
Settling a defamation case with Donald Trump should be the final nail in the coffin.
