Joe Biden keeps escalating the war in Ukraine
Carlson and independent journalist Glenn Greenwald remarked that Donald Trump couldn’t say everything he knows because of laws about classified intelligence, but that what Trump really wanted to signal to the rest of the world was that the threat of nuclear war was more frightening than anyone imagined.
“I’ve talked about it so many times. And I think it goes back to when Trump was president in the early stages of the presidency, every time Trump talks about the prospect of nuclear war, he knows that he’s limited in what everything he can divulge, but he’s so clearly trying to signal and he often says it: These weapons are of a different universe than even the ones we dropped on Japan,” Greenwald stated.
The two had this discussion in the context of the fact that Joe Biden authorized Ukraine to fire long-range missile strikes into Russian territory.
Russia responded by warning that any attack on its territory supported by a nuclear armed nation – the Ukrainians can’t operate these long-range missile systems without U.S. support – constitutes an attack Russia deems worthy of a nuclear response.
Carlson remarked that these latest developments gambled the fate of human civilization on the idea that Putin will react rationally and not deploy nuclear weapons in Ukraine.
“This person, we have been told, is Hitler, and deranged, crazy, dying of nine different kinds of cancer, can’t be trusted. Like the only reason we’re not — I mean, we’re all relying on his restraint. That’s just a fact right now. How weird is that?” Carlson asked.
The disastrous decision to go to war in Ukraine
Joe Biden declared Ukraine would get whatever it needed for as long as it took to defeat Russia.
Other western leaders issued similar bold pronouncements about the desire to defeat Russia.
“Right after Russia invaded Ukraine and Western governments decided they wanted full on support for Ukraine and this very simple-minded narrative that they fed their public,” Greenwald added.
Carlson blamed Biden and Kamala Harris for bungling America into a war that could now go nuclear at any moment thanks to crazy risks taken by a President that few think is in possession of his mental faculties.
“After they started the war, I mean the Biden administration started — that’s my view of it. They knew that Russia would invade if they publicly pushed Zelensky to join NATO, so they did that, Kamala Harris did that, and Russia invaded. My view is they started this war,” Carlson concluded.
Donald Trump and his team appear dead set on ending this war.
Even Zelensky told reporters the war will end quicker now that Trump is President.
But it also looks like the warmongers inside the Washington, D.C., Swamp are taking advantage of the fact Joe Biden is mentally decrepit to push all the escalatory measures they could dream of before Trump takes office.
