Joe Biden has a lot of explaining to do.
It’s likely there are no good answers to follow.
And one secret meeting may have just implicated Joe Biden in this high crime.
Hunter Biden’s lawyers had White House meeting days before Hunter Biden defied Congressional subpoena
Hunter Biden’s lawyer Abbe Lowell met at the White House with top Jill Biden aide Anthony Bernal on December 11.
“Hunter Biden’s white-shoe attorney Abbe Lowell and Anthony Bernal, a top aide to First Lady Jill Biden were both at the White House on Dec. 11 in the East Wing, according to White House visitor logs,” the New York Post reports.
“An entry in the log appears to show Lowell met with Bernal — though the White House insisted the log entry was related to a White House Hanukkah reception and that no Hunter Biden matters were discussed,” the Post report continues.
The December 11 date sticks out as significant because two days later, Hunter Biden defied a Congressional subpoena for a closed door deposition in a House Republicans investigation, not charges of corruption against Joe Biden.

Meeting fills in the blanks on impeachment inquiry
When reporters asked Karine Jean-Pierre if Joe Biden knew Hunter Biden planned to defy a lawful Congressional subpoena, Jean-Pierre admitted that Joe Biden knew in advance what his son planned to do.
“Hunter Biden is a private citizen, so I certainly would refer you to his representatives,” Jean-Pierre stated. “The president was certainly familiar with what his son was going to say, and I think what you saw was from the heart from his son.”
After Hunter Biden defied the subpoena, Republicans announced plans to bring a contempt of Congress proceeding against Hunter, leading to talk that Republicans now had grounds to impeach Joe Biden for obstruction of justice.
Lowell’s meeting at the White House could provide a clue as to how Joe Biden was “familiar” with what Hunter planned to do.
“Classic Biden plausible deniability play here. It was just a coincidental Hanukkah event. No Hunter discussion was had. New from @LevineJonathan @nypost The White House met with Hunter Biden’s legal team just days before he defied a congressional subpoena… White House visitor logs also show Abbe Lowell met with President Biden, though it was likely in the context of a White House Hanukkah reception held on the same day,” the Post’s Miranda Devine wrote on social media.
Republicans demand transparency
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer (R-KY) said this report added credence to Republicans’ belief that Joe Biden committed an impeachable offense and called on the White House to release all documents about this clandestine meeting between Hunter Biden’s lawyer and a top Jill Biden aide.
“We’ve called on the White House to provide information about whether President Biden sought to influence or obstruct our investigation by preventing, discouraging, or dissuading his son from complying with the subpoenas for a deposition as part of the House of Representatives’ impeachment inquiry, but the White House has refused to provide any information,” Comer declared.
“The White House must provide the public with information about the contents of this meeting in order to provide transparency to the American people,” Comer concluded.
