DSA Socialist Leader Just Admitted on Camera the Plan to Take Over the Democrat Party

Jun 29, 2026

Bernie Sanders ran for president as a Democrat and nearly won – but he was never a Democrat.

Now the organization that made him possible just put a socialist mayor in New York City the same way.

And their leader just went on camera and explained exactly how they plan to do it to the rest of the country.

The Blueprint They Are Not Hiding Anymore

The Democratic Socialists of America are not a political party.

They have no ballot line.

What they do have is 100,000 members, a strategy they call "Party Surrogate in form, Clean Break in Content," and a freshly proven roadmap for sneaking socialist candidates into power under the Democrat label.

The strategy is not complicated.

DSA identifies candidates, builds them up, and runs them through Democrat primaries – then walks away with seats under a brand name millions of voters have trusted their entire lives.

The Democrat Party is not the DSA's home.

It is the DSA's vehicle.

Their own 2025 national convention passed a formal resolution codifying this approach – drafted by the Marxist Unity Group, a caucus inspired by the Communist Party of Great Britain.

That is not a metaphor.

That is the actual group that wrote the playbook.

What Is on the DSA Platform That Never Appears on the Ballot

While New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani ran on "affordable housing" and "free buses," the platform his organization formally adopted is something else entirely.

DSA's "Workers Deserve More!" platform – posted publicly – commits the organization to scrapping the United States Senate, granting amnesty to every illegal immigrant in America, defunding the Department of War, and what they call "abolishing the carceral forces of the capitalist state."

Translation: no Senate, open borders, gut the military, abolish police.

This is not a fringe operation anymore.

By February 2026, DSA crossed 100,000 members – up from 64,000 just 16 months earlier.

They now claim over 250 elected officials across every level of government.

Ninety percent of those were elected after 2019.

And on Tuesday, June 24, Mamdani-backed candidates knocked out two sitting Democrat members of Congress in New York primaries – including one who had held his seat for nearly a decade.

Every single winning candidate ran on a platform of abolishing ICE, calling Israel's actions genocide, and taxing the rich.

Every single one of them ran as a Democrat.

DSA Just Voted to Run a Socialist Presidential Candidate as a Democrat in 2028

DSA co-chair Megan Romer confirmed publicly that her organization's 2025 convention voted to run a socialist presidential candidate in 2028 – on the Democrat ballot line.

And the convention was not shy about what that means – delegates voted down a push for third-party independence, choosing instead to keep borrowing the Democrat brand until they have enough power to discard it.

Their own documents describe this as "Party Surrogate in form, Clean Break in Content."

Form: Democrat.

Content: Marxist.

When they bragged about it on camera, they were not making a mistake.

They were announcing a victory.

The Democrat Party establishment – Chuck Schumer, Hakeem Jeffries – is watching their own incumbents get knocked out by people who do not share a single one of their actual values.

And because the "D" still appears on the ballot, millions of voters will never know the difference.

This is not new in American history.

Socialists have run this play before – Eugene Debs, Vito Marcantonio in East Harlem in the 1940s, Bernie Sanders borrowing the Democrat primary in 2016.

What is new is the scale.

What is new is the machine.

What is new is 100,000 members, 250 elected officials, multiple major city halls, a formal congressional strategy, and a presidential candidate already in planning.

The genius of the arrangement is the same genius the Lifezette video captured.

America's most radical political agenda is moving through America's most trusted political brand – and almost nobody buying the brand knows it.

Your neighbor votes for the Democrat.

He has no idea he just voted for the DSA.
