MN Whistleblower Just Revealed A North Carolina Number on Fox News So Crazy There Has to be Massive Fraud

May 11, 2026

Minnesota fraud whistleblower David Hoch just went on Fox News and said something that stopped the host cold.

Now North Carolina's own state auditor is confirming it – and the number he's sitting on makes Minnesota look like a warm-up act.

You're about to find out why Hoch called the North Carolina figure "impossible" on live television.

North Carolina Medicaid Autism Billing Just Hit 47000 Percent in Five Years

North Carolina's Medicaid autism therapy billings went from $1.4 million to $660 million in five years.

That is a 47,000 percent increase.

State Auditor Dave Boliek told Fox News Digital: "When you have, like in North Carolina, a system that went from $1.4 million or so in total billings for autism therapy to more than $660 million a year in billings on autism therapy within a five-year range, that begs an audit."

No disease spreads that fast.

No population grows that fast.

Billing fraud does.

Boliek – North Carolina's top watchdog for taxpayer waste – didn't stop there.

His office documented three different clinical providers billing for the same autism patient during the same time window.

"Some of it is possibly illegal and probably illegal, and we're going to point that out, and we're going to try to put people in cuffs because of it," Boliek said.

He placed the blame directly on North Carolina's Democrat-led Department of Health and Human Services, whose rules were written so loosely that the triple-billing may have been technically legal.

Applied behavior analysis therapy spending alone jumped 347 percent between 2022 and 2025.

At the current pace, North Carolina taxpayers face $842 million in autism therapy billings this fiscal year – and $1.14 billion by 2027.

The Same Medicaid Fraud Playbook That Hit Minnesota Is Now Running in Every State

David Hoch didn't land on North Carolina by accident.

Hoch works alongside investigator Nick Shirley – the pair who helped expose the Feeding Our Future catastrophe in Minnesota, where fraudsters stole $250 million from a program that was supposed to feed children.

Those children didn't exist.

The DOJ has charged 98 people in the Minnesota case, with more than 60 convicted or having pled guilty.

Hoch told Kayleigh McEnany on Fox News that the same fraud architecture has spread to Ohio, Maine, California, and now North Carolina.

The mechanics are identical in every state.

A Medicaid program with generous reimbursements opens to new providers.

Verification stays weak.

Bills flood in.

Nobody asks questions until the numbers become physically impossible to explain.

In Minnesota, the autism therapy budget went from $3 million in 2018 to nearly $400 million in 2023.

Federal prosecutors charged Asha Farhan Hassan with stealing $14 million in fake therapy sessions while paying parents cash kickbacks of up to $1,500 a month to keep their kids enrolled – billed to Medicaid.

Her staff were untrained teenagers.

North Carolina's numbers follow the same curve.

Vance and Dr Oz Are Already Investigating North Carolina as Medicaid Fraud Hits All 50 States

Boliek isn't waiting.

He's been coordinating directly with Vice President JD Vance's anti-fraud task force to lock down North Carolina's Medicaid billing before it reaches $1 billion.

Vance and CMS Administrator Dr. Oz have already frozen $259.5 million in Medicaid payments to Minnesota and launched investigations targeting five states – with audits now expanding to all 50.

Trump announced the national fraud crackdown at his State of the Union.

The Democrat-controlled DHHS that wrote the rules allowing triple-billing has a lot of explaining to do.

"Every wasted dollar is a dollar that can't be spent on a person who actually needs service," Boliek said.

The real victims aren't an abstraction.

They're the kids with autism whose programs get gutted when the fraud finally collapses – and the parents who trusted their tax dollars were going somewhere real.

They weren't.
