JD Vance Said Three Words in Budapest and Declared an Iran Victory Every American Needed to Hear

Apr 8, 2026

American families watched gas prices explode while Iran held a thousand ships hostage in the Persian Gulf.

JD Vance just flew to Budapest and told the world that's over.

What he said next is something every American who supported this mission deserved to hear.

Vance Declares Iran Military Objectives Complete

Standing alongside Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban on Tuesday, Vice President JD Vance looked into the cameras and said what every American who supported this mission needed to hear.

"Fundamentally, the military objectives of the United States have been completed."

Not almost completed. Not largely on track. Completed.

Trump's military went into Iran with three specific objectives: destroy Iran's ballistic missile and drone capabilities, destroy the Iranian Navy, and dismantle their defense industrial base.

Every one of them is done – confirmed Wednesday morning by Joint Chiefs Chairman General Dan Caine at the Pentagon.

Vance acknowledged some additional work remains on Iran's weapons manufacturing capacity, but was unambiguous about where things stand.

"There are still some things that we'd like to do, for example, on Iranian ability to manufacture weapons, that we'd like to do a little bit more work on militarily. But fundamentally, the military objectives of the United States have been completed," he said.

What Operation Epic Fury Actually Accomplished

This audience knows what the past five weeks looked like.

Iran's Supreme Leader Khamenei is dead.

The Strait of Hormuz – the waterway carrying 20% of the world's oil, which Iran used to spike gas prices for every American family – is reopening.

U.S. forces struck military targets on Kharg Island, Iran's key oil export hub.

According to Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, Iran can no longer build missiles, rockets, launchers, or drones – their weapons production infrastructure wiped out in five weeks of sustained strikes.

The mullahs who spent decades building a military machine designed to terrorize the Middle East ran out of options and cut a deal.

Iran Ceasefire and What Comes Next

The ceasefire is two weeks, not permanent.

Trump made the terms crystal clear: Iran reopens the Strait of Hormuz completely and immediately, or the bombing resumes.

Iran chose the deal – arriving less than two hours before Trump's 8 p.m. deadline expired Tuesday night.

Pakistan brokered the agreement, and talks move to Islamabad on Friday. Vance is expected to lead the American delegation, alongside Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

Iran's enriched uranium – the material that could eventually fuel a nuclear weapon – remains the central issue of what comes next. Hegseth was direct: the new Iranian regime will never have a nuclear weapon or a path to one.

Vance set the stakes plainly from Budapest. Iran can become a normal country, abandon terrorism, and rejoin the global economy. Or they stay the course and watch their economic situation get "very, very bad – and frankly, it will probably get worse."

Oil prices cratered more than 16% on the ceasefire news. Stock futures surged.

American families who watched gas prices climb while Iran choked the Strait are about to get relief – because Donald Trump refused to blink.

Standing next to Orban – a leader the Brussels establishment has spent years trying to punish – Vance sent a message to every country watching. Forty-seven years of Iranian aggression, terrorism, and nuclear ambition ran headfirst into a president who meant what he said.

America won.

But in less than 24 hours our supposed greatest ally decided the only damns he gives is that he gets to do whatever the hell he wants on America’s dime and reputation.

It’s time to cut Bibi off and ban him from our country. Enough is enough with this guy undercutting Trump and America’s interest.

And bless your heart if you think saying that is anti-semetic.
