The Democrat Party canceled the famous Potato Head toy of so many Americans’ childhoods.
Now a Louisiana senator is using that plastic toy to prove their entire party has lost its mind.
And the evidence to back him up keeps piling up.
Kennedy Unloads on the Loon Wing
Sen. John Kennedy (R-LA) went on 77 WABC radio's "Cats Roundtable" show Sunday and did what he does better than anyone in Washington: said the quiet part loud.
"Bill Clinton couldn't get five votes in the Democrat Party today," Kennedy said flatly.
Think about what that means.
Bill Clinton won the presidency twice.
He balanced the federal budget.
He signed welfare reform into law.
He's the last Democrat who actually governed from the center – and Kennedy says today's Socialist Democrats would toss him out on his ear.
The reason?
Mr. Potato Head.
"The people in control of the Democrat Party," Kennedy said, "they hate George Washington and Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln and Dr. Seuss and Mr. Potato Head because they think they're racist."
He wasn't done.
"The loon-wing of the Democrat Party – the AOC wing, the Bernie Sanders wing – they are in control."
"Republicans aren't perfect," Kennedy added, "but the other side is crazy."
The Toy That Broke a Party
In 2021, Hasbro announced it was stripping the "Mr." from Mr. Potato Head – a toy American kids had played with since 1952 – to make the brand gender-neutral.
"Hasbro is making sure all feel welcome in the Potato Head world," the company said at the time, "by officially dropping the Mr from the Mr Potato Head brand name."
The same year, Dr. Seuss Enterprises pulled six of the beloved author's children's books from publication, citing images that "portray people in ways that are hurtful and wrong."

Books that generations of American children grew up reading – gone.
Kennedy called both decisions what they were: cancel culture running wild, aided and abetted by Democrats who wouldn't say a word against it.
The Loon Wing Is Winning – and They're Proving It
Kennedy isn't sounding an alarm about something that might happen.
He's describing something that already did.
New York City just elected a self-described democratic socialist as mayor.
Zohran Mamdani – a 34-year-old assemblyman who publicly called the NYPD "racist" and demanded it be defunded – defeated former Governor Andrew Cuomo in last November's Democrat primary and went on to win City Hall.
His platform: government-run grocery stores in every borough, free city bus service, frozen rents, a $30 minimum wage, and higher taxes on anyone who earns a good living.
Trump called him "a 100% Communist Lunatic."
Democrats made him mayor of America's biggest city.
And just last week, AOC and Sanders introduced a bill to ban all new data center construction nationwide – the infrastructure that powers American jobs, AI development, and economic competitiveness – until Congress passes sweeping new regulations.
A fellow Democrat senator called the idea "idiocy" that would let China move faster than us.
Sanders brushed it off.
"In a sane world," he said, "the leadership of the United States sits down with the leadership in China to work together" on joint limits for artificial intelligence.
The Split Kennedy Has Been Warning About
"There is a split in the Democrat Party," Kennedy said in a separate interview. "Unless you have the IQ of a meat thermometer, you can see that."
On one side: what Kennedy calls the mainstream wing – Obama, Clinton, Pelosi, Schumer, Jeffries.
On the other: the loon wing – AOC, Sanders, and Mayor Mamdani.
"Nobody pays any attention to what Obama, Clinton or Pelosi or Schumer or Jeffries says anymore," Kennedy said. "The leaders are Mr. Mamdani, Ocasio-Cortez, and Bernie Sanders."
A Harvard poll taken last year found 72% of Democrat voters want the party to move further left – not toward the center.
Only 28% want a moderate approach.
Bill Clinton would be in that 28%.
In his own party, he'd be the fringe.
Why the Polite Ones Are the Problem
Kennedy puts his finger exactly on why mainstream Democrats are so useless.
"A lot of the Democrats who know better are just being polite," he told host John Catsimatidis. "That's the problem that we have in the United States Senate."
They know their party has been hijacked by people who think a plastic potato toy is a social justice battleground and that New York City needs government-run grocery stores.
They just won't say it.
"The defining characteristic of this group is contempt," Kennedy said. "To be a member of their club, you have to have contempt for America. Not gratitude as you should, but contempt."
"You have to believe that America was wicked when it was founded and that it is more wicked today."
Bill Clinton, whatever his many personal failings, did not believe America was wicked.
AOC, Sanders, and Mayor Mamdani do.
The Democrats too polite to say so are the reason the loon wing keeps winning – and the reason Bill Clinton wouldn't recognize the party he once led.
