Trump’s Labor Secretary Pick EXPOSED: A Pro-Life Betrayal, Union Favoritism, and Secret Planned Parenthood Ties

Feb 14, 2025

Donald Trump’s nomination of former Representative Lori Chavez-DeRemer for Labor Secretary is quickly becoming a firestorm.

Her cozy relationship with leftist union bosses and her track record of undermining conservative values put her at odds with the very principles Trump promised to uphold.

And a recent report revealed that President Trump’s pick for Labor Secretary worked at Planned Parenthood, sending pro-lifers into low Earth orbit.

Former Congresswoman and Labor Secretary nominee Lori Chavez-DeRemer once worked at Planned Parenthood

According to NBC News, “President Donald Trump’s nominee for labor secretary, former Rep. Lori Chavez-DeRemer, R-Ore., listed on her questionnaire for a Senate committee that she worked at a Planned Parenthood clinic when she was in her early 20s.”

Chavez-DeRemer has stated that she does not “personally” support abortion, claiming that she has a 100% pro-life voting record.

But this is at odds with her “B” rating from anti-abortion group Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America.

According to Susan B. Anthony, Chavez-DeRemer refused to cosponsor two pro-life bills during the last Congress, H.R. 427 (SAVE moms and Babies Act) and H.R. 7 (No Taxpayer Funding for Abortion and Abortion Full Disclosure Act).

H.R. 7, which was cosponsored by 183 Republicans in the U.S. House of Representatives, would have ensured that the Hyde amendment was fully applied to all government programs, blocking taxpayer money from going to abortion providers like Planned Parenthood for the purpose of funding abortions.

It is interesting that with Chavez-DeRemer having previously worked for Planned Parenthood, even for what she describes as a “brief, part-time job,” she refused to support legislation that would have taken taxpayer dollars away from Planned Parenthood.

What’s worse, is that she reportedly publicly opposed “any federal action limiting taxpayer funds for abortion and was pushing back against Republican efforts to bring a proposal to the House floor permanently banning the use of any federal funds for abortion,” according to the Oregon Capital Chronicle.

Chavez-DeRemer also was publicly against a federal judge blocking access to the abortion pill nationwide back in 2023, saying, “I think that that decision was not a good decision.”

During her re-election bid, she ran as fast as she could away from her previous support of pro-life legislation, which did her no good as she ended up losing her race anyway.

In fact, Democrats blasted Chavez-DeRemer for her flip-flopping on the abortion issue.

But now we’re supposed to believe that she is “personally” pro-life and that she is not going to push her pro-union boss agenda as Secretary of Labor?

Chavez-DeRemer is Too Liberal for Trump’s Cabinet and Must Be Rejected

Over 90 percent of all Big Labor political donations go to Democrats who want to legalize abortion-on-demand, pass more gun control, enact higher taxes, and force woke ideology down our throats.

Her cozying up to corrupt union bosses and running away from the pro-life movement is really all conservatives must know about Lori Chavez-DeRemer.

It would behoove Senate Republicans to block her nomination and request President Trump to nominate an actual conservative to the Secretary of Labor position.
