The corporate media thinks they control the narrative in Washington, D.C.
But one Trump administration official just exposed their shameful bias.
And this Trump spokeswoman Tricia McLaughlin dropped one truth bomb on a rogue judge and left corporate media scrambling.
Trump spokeswoman calls out media bias in scathing press conference
Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security for Public Affairs Tricia McLaughlin didn’t mince words during a Wednesday press conference that had reporters squirming.
The press conference came after a Biden-appointed federal judge tried to interfere with the Trump administration’s deportation of eight dangerous criminals.
These weren’t just immigration violations – we’re talking about convicted criminals with records for murder, assault, robbery, sexual assault, and child sexual abuse.
United States District Judge Brian E. Murphy of Massachusetts claimed the Trump administration violated a court order by deporting these eight criminals to South Sudan.
McLaughlin didn’t hold back when describing the judge’s interference in national security matters.
According to The Daily Caller, McLaughlin told reporters: “A local judge in Massachusetts is trying to force the United States to bring back these uniquely barbaric monsters who present a clear and present threat to the safety of the American people and American victims.”
She continued: “While we are fully compliant with the law and court orders, it is absolutely absurd for a district judge to try to dictate the foreign policy and national security of the United States of America.”
Media gets brutal wake-up call about priorities
Then McLaughlin delivered the moment that really stung.
She turned her focus directly on the reporters in the room and delivered a challenge they clearly weren’t prepared for.
The Daily Caller reported McLaughlin said: “These are the monsters that the district judge is trying to protect. The contrast is brutally stark. President Trump and Secretary Noem are working every single day to get these vicious criminals off of American streets, and while activist judges are on the other side fighting to get them back onto United States soil.”
But the real knockout punch came next.
“Before I turn it over to acting Director Todd Lyons, I would like to remind the journalists in this very room to do your job,” McLaughlin declared, according to the report.
She continued her devastating critique.
“We gave you the names of these monsters as you have right in front of you. Now tell the stories of the innocent Americans who they victimized. I employ you — implore you to stop doing the bidding of these disgusting individuals. Tell the stories of the innocents. It’s the American victims who actually matter.”
The challenge was clear and direct.
Instead of writing puff pieces about the “plight” of criminal illegal aliens, reporters should focus on the American victims whose lives were destroyed by these predators.
Media bias exposed in broad daylight
McLaughlin’s call-out highlighted a fundamental problem with corporate media coverage of immigration.
They consistently frame deportations as heartless government overreach while ignoring the Americans who suffered at the hands of criminal illegal aliens.
The White House released a fact sheet detailing the horrific crimes committed by these eight deportees.
Murder, assault, robbery, sexual assault, and child sexual abuse were among the charges these criminals faced.
Yet a federal judge wanted to bring them back to American soil.
And the media was more interested in criticizing the Trump administration than telling the stories of the innocent victims.
This isn’t the first time the Trump administration has taken on activist judges who try to block immigration enforcement.
The Supreme Court heard oral arguments on Thursday about judges issuing nationwide injunctions that tie the hands of federal immigration officials.
President Trump made border security and immigration enforcement top priorities from his first day back in office.
On January 20, Trump issued several executive orders addressing illegal immigration and border security.
One order designated Mexican drug cartels, the Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua, and the El Salvadoran prison gang MS-13 as foreign terrorist organizations.
The Trump administration is making it clear they won’t be deterred by activist judges or biased media coverage.
They’re putting American victims first and criminals last.
McLaughlin’s challenge to the media was simple but powerful.
Stop doing the bidding of criminals and start telling the stories that actually matter.
The stories of innocent Americans whose lives were shattered by preventable crimes.
It’s a message the corporate media desperately needs to hear.
Whether they’ll listen remains to be seen.
But one thing is certain – the Trump administration won’t let them ignore American victims any longer.
