Tony Dungy is an NFL coaching legend, who served 13 seasons as an NFL head coach and became the first black coach to win a Super Bowl, before heading to the broadcast booth for NBC in 2009.
But Tony Dungy’s passions go way beyond football.
And Tony Dungy just hit the RINO Washington, D.C. Consulting Class with the announcement they feared most.
Abortion Lobby thought they gave Democrats a winning issue after Roe was overturned – but the scoreboard tells a different tale
Prior to the 2024 election, seven states had put a constitutional right to abortion on the ballot since Roe v. Wade was overturned in June of 2022.
And the pro-Abortion Lobby won in every one of those ballot measures – albeit they were in low-turnout, off-year, and non-Presidential elections.
The right to kill babies even passed in red state Ohio – the homestate of Vice President-elect J.D. Vance – as well as in the heart of the Bible Belt, Kansas.
With 10 similar measures on the ballot in 2024, fates looked dim for the pro-Life movement.
And one-by-one, states enhanced a “pregnant person’s” right to abortion.
Many of these new laws included abortions for minors without parental consent, no health standards for abortion clinics, and even opened the door to supposed “gender affirming care” for minors without the need for a parent’s say so.
Even in the ruby red state of Missouri, abortion activists were able to squeak out a constitutional right to terminate viable pregnancies out of convenience.
Arizona, Nevada, Montana, Colorado, New York, and Maryland all passed ballot initiatives expanding so-called “abortion rights.”
But 2024 was about to settle the score.
Abortion was on the ballot in ten states this November.
Florida Republican Governor Ron DeSantis led the charge in his state.
Florida has come a long way under the guidance of the two-term Governor.
And Election Night was the latest demonstration of the effectiveness of America’s Governor.
And now even Tony Dungy is displaying his gratitude for DeSantis becoming the first Governor to score this moral victory.
Ron DeSantis defeats the Abortion Lobby
Ron DeSantis braved slings and arrows to spearhead a bill outlawing abortion in Florida after the sixth week of pregnancy.
DeSantis was vilified in Big Media for his heroic efforts to protect the rights of the unborn.
And woke zealots were determined to defeat America’s Governor’s life-saving law.
The constitutional right to abort babies was on the ballot Tuesday, November 5 in the Sunshine State.
But Governor DeSantis was stalwart, fighting tooth and nail against the deadly amendment.
And when the results came in, DeSantis stood tall.
A majority of Floridians did vote to end the state’s abortion ban after six weeks.
However, the abortion extremists fell far short of the 60% of the vote needed to change the state’s constitution.
It was the first abortion ballot measure to fail since the Dobbs Supreme Court decision returning abortion policies to the states.
Tony Dungy is celebrating life
And perhaps no one was happier about the pro-Life victory than NFL coaching legend Tony Dungy.
As a devout Christian, the Super Bowl winning head coach is a loud and proud proponent for life.
The polls are closed in Florida and Amendment 3 and Amendment 4 both failed to pass.
Thank you to all the Florida residents who helped to protect the lives of the unborn. And we want people to realize that those expectant mothers who need help will still be able to get it.…— Tony Dungy (@TonyDungy) November 6, 2024
And he spent Election Night celebrating the lives Florida voters saved.
“The polls are closed in Florida and Amendment 3 and Amendment 4 both failed to pass,” Dungy tweeted. “Thank you to all the Florida residents who helped to protect the lives of the unborn. And we want people to realize that those expectant mothers who need help will still be able to get it. Pregnant women with health risks can get treatment. The exceptions for rape and incest are still in place. But this is a victory for babies.”
The other amendment Dungy referenced was a constitutional amendment giving Floridians the right to consume marijuana and protections barring big marijuana companies from facing any legal liabilities.
Florida voters defeated that ballot initiative as well.
Early voting opens in Florida this week and I urge all Florida residents to carefully read Amendment 4 before casting your vote. If you read through all the language you’ll see this amendment would radically change the abortion landscape in Florida. We need to protect all lives… pic.twitter.com/6Pq9EJtKf6

Dungy was active during the runup to the election, tirelessly campaigning to protect life.
Two more states side with life
While DeSantis led the first effort to defeat an abortion ballot measure since abortion policy was returned to the states in 2022 – others followed his blueprint.
After Florida, South Dakota was the next to strike a victory for the unborn.
Voters in Mount Rushmore State cast their ballots to keep one of the strictest abortion bans in the country.
An amendment effort to allow abortions during the first trimester in South Dakota failed.
The state’s ban on all abortions, except in cases when the life of the mother is at risk, will remain in place.
And Nebraskans handed the Abortion Lobby two crushing defeats.
There were two competing abortion bills on the Nebraska ballot on Election Day.
Nebraska voters cast their ballot in favor of an initiative protecting life after the first trimester, with exceptions for the life of the mother, rape, and incest.
The measure also leaves the Legislature the authority to pass additional restrictions, up to a complete ban.
Meanwhile, those same voters rejected a separate measure that would have added a right to abortion to the Nebraska Constitution until fetal viability – and of course, “viability” was left open to interpretation.
