Three Key Takeaways:
- Tom Homan exposed the dangers of sanctuary cities, specifically Boston, where criminal aliens, including child rapists, are released back into the community instead of being detained by ICE.
- Homan emphasized the need for sanctuary cities to allow ICE into jails to arrest illegal aliens and prevent further public safety issues, as his team continues to face resistance from local authorities.
- Despite Boston Mayor Michelle Wu’s claims of safety, ICE raids in the area netted over 350 illegal aliens, including members of violent gangs like MS-13, highlighting the city’s disregard for cooperation with federal immigration enforcement.
Tom Homan doesn’t beat around the bush.
Democrats have created a nightmare for him to fix.
And Tom Homan revealed one scary fact that left a Fox & Friends host stunned.
Sanctuary cities need to let ICE into jails to detain illegal alien criminals
Border Czar Tom Homan is spearheading the Trump administration’s efforts to arrest and deport illegal aliens.
He’s been trading jabs with Boston Mayor Michelle Wu (D) over her city’s sanctuary law.
Boston police refuse to honor Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) detainers on illegal aliens who’ve been arrested for crimes.
Wu claims that Boston is the safest city in the country and that illegal aliens aren’t making it more dangerous.
The Border Czar appeared on Fox & Friends to set the record straight about what’s happening in the city.
Co-host Lawrence Jones asked Homan about what ICE agents are dealing with when they go into Boston.
“So, Tom, just to get into some of the specifics here, so you’ve got these folks that have already been charged with this,” Jones asked. “What your agents were asking, keep these guys behind bars and we will go pick them up. But many of these criminals got charged and they were released back on the street, right?”
Homan gave examples of the dangerous criminals that Boston released back onto the streets.
“You are absolutely right. One case I looked at, Lawrence, one case, there is a child rape, he was released two years ago without honoring our detainer. It took us two years for finding this person,” Homan replied.
ICE agents have to go into the community to hunt down criminals because the police won’t detain them.
“So how many children did he attack over the last two years?” Homan asked. “All we are asking for is to let our agents in the jail where you lock somebody up and let us arrest them there when you are done with them, rather than release them back in the public and making a public safety issue out of it.”
ICE launches major raids in Boston
Homan said in February that he was coming to Boston and bringing hell with him during a speech at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC).
“Boston, I said at CPAC they’re the sanctuary state, and we are going to come and, despite their sanctuary status, we’re going to bring agents there, we’re going to take these worst of the worst off the street,” Homan said.
ICE arrested more than 350 illegal aliens during a sweep of Boston and Massachusetts.
Homan oversaw the six-day operation that resulted in members of Tren de Aragua and MS-13 gangs being arrested.
“We arrested, I think it was, four people for convictions for murder, homicide. We arrested child sex predators. We arrested drug traffickers and gun traffickers. We seized guns. We seized drugs,” Homan said after the sweep.
Boston Mayor Wu claims her safety is safe, but she would rather release child predators back onto the streets than cooperate with ICE and the Trump administration.
