Three Key Takeaways:
- Tim Walz challenged Trump supporters to a WWE-style match, leading to public mockery.
- Glenn Jacobs, former WWE wrestler Kane, and another wrestler Tyrus, responded, ridiculing Walz’s remarks and political image.
- Walz’s comments added to his political struggles, especially with male voters and his connection to the Rust Belt.
Tim Walz got himself in trouble running his mouth during the 2024 Election.
He can’t quit making a fool of himself.
And Tim Walz picked a fight with a professional wrestler that he instantly regretted.
Tim Walz threatens to beat up Trump supporters in a WWE match
Democrats had high hopes for Minnesota Governor Tim Walz when he was tapped as former Vice President Kamala Harris’ running mate last year.
The increasingly out-of-touch party thought that Walz would appeal to men and the blue-collar voters that Kamala needed to win the Rust Belt swing states of Wisconsin, Michigan, and Minnesota.
Walz was supposed to appeal to men because he was a former high school football coach who wore a flannel shirt and a camo hat.
But he became a laughingstock and another sign of how clueless Democrats have become.
The 60-year-old picked up the nickname “Tampon Tim” after his push to put tampons in the boys’ restrooms of government schools.
Walz prancing around on stage like a teenage girl during the campaign and other bizarre behavior earned him ridicule online.
He appeared on California Governor Gavin Newsom’s new podcast to defend attacks on his masculinity.
Newsom admitted that Democrats had a big problem with male voters and were losing ground with them.
“I think it’s one of the reasons we’re losing so many men—and again, it’s multi-ethnic. It’s not just white men. We’re losing them. We’re losing them to these guys online,” Newsom said.
The California Governor argued that Democrats needed to engage these voters to win them back.
“We cannot continue to be on the defense, reacting to this. We gotta meet people where they are,” Newsom explained. “You gotta respect people you disagree with, and you can’t just dismiss people.”
Walz made Newsom, one of the most left-wing Governors in the country, seem reasonable.
He said the solution was to beat up Trump supporters.
“How do you fight it? I think I could kick most of their a**. I do think that, if they want to, I know I can outrun them, but I don’t know if we’re going to fall into that place where we want to, OK, we challenge you to a, you know, a WWE fight here type of thing,” Walz ranted.
WWE’s Kane is up for a match against Tim Walz
It wasn’t clear if Walz understood that the WWE matches are staged.
He bit off more than he could chew by challenging Trump supporters to a wrestling match.
Knox County, Tennessee Mayor Glenn Jacobs, a pro-liberty Republican and Trump supporter, mocked Walz for his latest buffoonish remarks.
The 7-foot-tall Mayor is a WWE Hall of Famer where he wrestled under the ring name Kane.
“With that steely stare and chiseled physique, who wouldn’t be intimidated seeing this across the ring from you?” Jacobs wrote on X, with a picture of Walz in a rainbow-colored singlet.

Jacobs asked Fox News star Tyrus, another former professional wrestler, if he wanted a tag team match against Newsom and Walz.
“What do you say, [Tyrus]? Me and you against the Blue State Buffoons–Mr. Hair Gel #2 and Coach Command Sergeant Major Guy?” Jacobs asked.
The former WWE star posted another picture of Walz in a pink tutu.
