This View co-host just reignited her feud with Trump by hurling one ugly accusation

The ladies of The View have been at war with Donald Trump for years.

It’s only getting uglier.

And this co-host on The View just reignited her feud with Trump by hurling one ugly accusation.

An old nemesis returns

Rosie O’Donnell was the first co-host of The View to publicly beef with Trump.

But their feud began years ago, when Trump was still a TV star and there was zero talk of him ever running for President.

O’Donnell rekindled her dispute with Trump in an appearance with Bill O’Reilly on Chris Cuomo’s NewsNation program.

The former View co-host regurgitated the Joe Biden talking point that the American experiment of democracy ends on November 5 if Trump wins a second term.

“I agree with you [Bill] and I think that no matter who wins in November, this country has a lot of healing to do. We have to forgive each other for our trespasses and our misconceptions. And then try to reunite as one country, united, and that’s the dangerous thing that’s happening when I say, Chris, Democracy is on trial. It’s because without this, we’re nothing as a nation. We have to get everyone back together again in some way,” O’Donnell declared.

O’Reilly pointed out the flaw in O’Donnell’s argument.

O’Donnell claimed she wanted national healing and unity after the election.

But O’Reilly noted that she started off the discussion by smearing Trump and his voters as fascists.

“Okay, but Rosie with all due respect, you’re not going to be successful saying ‘democracy is on trial’ and anybody who supports Donald Trump is a fascist. You’re not. I mean those people are going to reject you 100% because there’s a lot more to it than you are presenting,” O’Reilly responded.

Origins of the O’Donnell-Trump feud

The conflict dates back to the December 20, 2006, broadcast of The View.

Trump was in the news because the winner of the Miss USA Pageant, Tara Conner, got caught partying in Manhattan nightclubs, reportedly using cocaine.

Normally, this would be grounds for stripping Conner of the crown, but Trump offered her a second chance and a trip to rehab so Conner could get sober.

“Tara is going to be given a second chance,” Trump said at the time. “She’s agreed to go into rehab.”

O’Donnell got mad that Trump was extending a kind gesture to a young woman in trouble and went off on Trump during that day’s show claiming it was all a publicity stunt to promote the upcoming season premiere of The Apprentice.

“So Donald Trump is in the news again. Because his show The Apprentice is starting again in January, he held a big press conference to see if he was going to allow Miss U.S.A.—such a prestigious title . . .” O’Donnell fumed.

“Listen, this guy annoys me on a multitude of levels,” O’Donnell added.

O’Donnell then attacked Trump personally, going after his divorces and claiming it gave him no right to extend an olive branch to Conner.

“He’s the moral authority? Left the first wife, had an affair. Left the second wife, had an affair. Had kids both times. But he’s the moral compass for 20-year-olds in America? Donald, sit and spin my friend! I don’t enjoy him. No, no, no,” O’Donnell concluded.

Trump fires back

Trump is not one to sit back and let anyone smear him in the press.

Insider broadcast an interview with Trump where Trump cut a WWE-style promo on O’Donnell cutting her down in hilarious fashion.

Trump even made a joke of this in his 2016 Presidential campaign when Megyn Kelly hit him with a gotcha question about his past comments about women in the first primary debate.

Fox News executives overseeing the broadcast may have hoped this question would derail Trump’s momentum and turn women against him.

But Trump joked that those comments were only about O’Donnell, causing the crowd in attendance to burst out in laughter.

Based on the Cuomo interview, O’Donnell still appears to be an angry liberal suffering from Trump Derangement Syndrome, so, it doesn’t look like she will play her argument with Trump for laughs anytime soon.
