Concerns about Biden’s wide-open border are growing by the day.
And even Biden’s DHS is weighing in with national security concerns.
Now this Congressman just sounded the alarm after the arrest of 17 Communist Chinese in his district.
This past weekend, Congressman Carlos A. Giménez (R-FL) released a statement after 17 individuals from Communist China were detained in Key Largo, FL, which is in his district.
It’s not just at the U.S./Mexican border
And with the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas, the increased spying activities of the Communist Chinese, and growing concerns about human trafficking, worries about the security of Biden’s open U.S. border continue to rise.
There are growing concerns about potential security risks as individuals attempt to enter the U.S. through our vulnerable border.
And it’s not just at the southern border the U.S. shares with Mexico.
Florida is also seeing a spike in illegals entering the country.
“As you know that I serve on the House Armed Services Committee but also on the House Select Committee on the competition between the United States and the Communist Chinese Party. And, recently we saw where 17 Chinese Nationals were apprehended in the Florida Keys,” Giménez said.
“Very concerning for me. I mean, I have gotten indication, have gotten information that the Communist Chinese party is getting more and more influence in our hemisphere, especially around South Florida. We know that they’ve got activities going on in Cuba. They also see that they’re doing a lot of infrastructure work also in the Bahamas,” he continued.
“All of this again, very concerning to me,” Giménez said. “Why were they trying to sneak into the country? What was their purpose? Again, I think it’s the first time that we’ve actually apprehended Chinese Nationals in our part of the country,” he said.
According to a news release posted on his website, Giménez has asked Customs and Border Patrol (CBP) for additional information to help evaluate the identities and potential security risks posed by the individuals who were caught.

More than 18,000 so far
While he is the latest to raise concerns, Giménez is not the first Republican lawmaker to do so.
In September, a group of GOP Senators led by Senator Roger Marshall (R-KS) sent a letter to Biden’s Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, warning the influx of Communist Chinese migrants likely included operatives of the ruling Communist Party.
The letter went further to say these illegals posed very real threats of espionage and cyber attacks.
Nearly 18,000 Chinese nationals were encountered at the U.S.-Mexico border in fiscal 2023.
This is an almost tenfold increase from roughly 2,000 encounters last year.
The GOP lawmakers accused the Biden administration of releasing the potential national security threats into the country without proper vetting.
“July set the record for nationwide encounters with Chinese nationals with just over 6,100. 94.8 percent of Chinese national encounters in FY23 have been single adults. This trend poses a significant threat to our national security and warrants immediate attention and action from the Department of Homeland Security,” the Senators wrote.
“It is our understanding that not a single one of these individuals encountered has been detained for any length of time but rather benefited from this administration’s policy of catch and release.”
Once again, Joe Biden is putting radical left-wing ideology over the security of the country he was sworn to protect.
