Americans demanded answers for the two assassination attempts against Donald Trump.
The public wasn’t reassured by what they heard.
And the Secret Service revealed the disturbing reason Trump almost got killed.
Acting Secret Service Director speaks on July 13 assassination attempt against Trump
Acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe addressed the media about the attempt on Trump’s life at the rally in Butler, Pennsylvania.
Rowe said the agency was in the “accountability phase” and that the responsible parties would face professional repercussions, but that Rowe wouldn’t name names.
What Rowe said from there got even worse.
“But here are some of the findings from this mission Assurance review with respect to command and control of the site in Butler, Pennsylvania, the Secret Service has the main responsibility of building the site plan. We cannot abdicate or defer our responsibilities to others,” Rowe began.
Rowe admitted that the Secret Service dropped the ball on working with local law enforcement to secure the rally site.
“Advance team personnel have an obligation to ensure that each site meets the protective requirements and principles of Secret Service methodologies. The Secret Service did not give clear guidance or direction to our local law enforcement partners. There are communication deficiencies between law enforcement personnel at the site…” Rowe continued.
Rowe added that agents knew there was a significant security threat from the building the assassin shot at Trump from, but never passed them up the chain of command to their superior officers.
“Secret Service counter snipers neutralize the threat. With respect to diligence. Line of sight issues were acknowledged but not properly mitigated. Issues were encountered the day of the visit with respect to line of sight concerns, but they were not escalated to supervisors,” Rowe added.
The scary factor that led to Trump nearly getting killed
But what sent a shiver down the spine of Trump supporters was when Rowe admitted there was a “complacency” in Trump’s detail towards security procedures that nearly got Trump killed.
“While some members of the advance team were very diligent. There was complacency on the part of others that led to a breach of security protocols. With respect to accountability. The Mission Assurance review has identified deficiencies in the advance planning and its implementation by Secret Service personnel,” Rowe concluded.
The assassin scouted the area with a drone and a ranger finder.
Officers even saw the gunman with the rangefinder.
The Secret Service photographed the gunman on the roof, and video from rally attendees showed the crowd noticing the assassin with his rifle, preparing to shoot at Trump for minutes before firing upon Trump.
And finally, the Secret Service allowed Trump to take the stage despite knowing there was a report of a suspicious individual.
Now the American people have questions about the cause of this “complacency” on Trumps’ Secret Service detail.
Did the detail let their guard down just not expecting there to be a problem?
Or was it something else?
