Wrong, according to the scared bureaucrats running the show.

They renamed it "Winter House" because they're terrified leftist activists might confuse it with Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Yes, you read that correctly — they changed the name of a building for ice sports because protesters hate ICE agents enforcing America's immigration laws.

USA Today's Christine Brennan reported that someone in the U.S. Olympic command center decided the name change was necessary "due to possible ICE protests."

The governing boards for the U.S. teams even issued a joint statement without actually stating what everyone knows — they're afraid the woke maniacs will show up with signs and megaphones.

Figure skater Amber Glenn told Reuters the name change was "wise" because "the term ICE isn't something we can embrace because of what's happening."

She claimed it's "very upsetting and very distressing" to see what ICE is doing in America.

The operation sparked massive protests after two fatal shootings by federal agents in January 2026.

Thousands of demonstrators have taken to the streets, blocking highways and demanding ICE be abolished.

A January 2026 poll found 63% of Americans think ICE has "gone too far" — driven largely by Democrat voters who view the agency as Trump's deportation army.

Left-wing activist groups organized a "National Days of Action" movement calling for boycotts of businesses cooperating with immigration enforcement.

Protesters targeted Target stores because the company is headquartered in Minneapolis, where ICE operations intensified.
