Sean Duffy exposed an awful truth about Pete Buttigieg with one devastating action

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy is cleaning up the mess left behind by the Biden administration.

The scope of the disaster he inherited would shock most Americans.

And Sean Duffy exposed an awful truth about Pete Buttigieg with one devastating action.

Sean Duffy is making America build again

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy just delivered another crushing blow to the legacy of his predecessor Pete Buttigieg by clearing a third of the massive infrastructure backlog left behind by the Biden-Harris administration.

Duffy announced that his department has cleared another 529 infrastructure grants totaling more than $2.9 billion, bringing the total number approved to more than a third of the unprecedented 3,200 project backlog from the previous administration.

That’s right – the Trump administration inherited more than 3,200 unobligated grants that had been announced by the previous administration but never obligated.

Think about that for a moment.

Buttigieg spent four years announcing flashy infrastructure projects for photo ops and press releases, but couldn’t be bothered to actually get the paperwork signed to make them happen.

Communities across America waited years for promised funding while "Mayor Pete" focused on pushing woke ideology instead of building roads and bridges.

"While cynics in the press hysterically warned of doomsday delays, USDOT has been hard at work to get America building again," said Duffy. "We’ve done this by refocusing the department on core infrastructure – not enacting a radical political agenda."

The Biden-Buttigieg disaster in numbers

The scale of negligence under the Biden-Harris administration is staggering.

According to the Department of Transportation, "Secretary Duffy has now cleared 1,065 projects worth roughly $10 billion since the start of this historic administration."

Some of the grants Duffy just cleared had been sitting in bureaucratic limbo for years.

The DOT announcement detailed the scope of the delays: "These latest grants include projects announced more than three years ago. Secretary Duffy finally delivered $21 million for rail safety improvements just north of Ann Arbor, Michigan, announced in June 2022; nearly $12 million for the Manatee County Port Authority in Florida, announced in September 2022; $110 million for a North Carolina bridge to the Outer Banks, announced in January 2023; and $47 million for the Port of Baltimore, announced in December 2023."

Imagine being a community leader who was promised federal funding three years ago, only to watch Buttigieg’s Department of Transportation sit on the paperwork while he jetted around the country for speaking engagements and political posturing.

That’s the reality of the Biden-Harris administration – lots of talk, zero action.

Duffy removes woke roadblocks to construction

But Duffy isn’t just clearing the backlog – he’s making sure these projects can actually get built without the left-wing red tape that drove up costs under Biden-Harris.

The Department of Transportation explained the changes: "As part of this process, the Department has ripped out burdensome DEI, Green New Scam, and social justice requirements that Congress deliberately did not mandate. This includes social cost of carbon accounting, pointless greenhouse gas emission reporting, and discriminatory DEI language."

The results speak for themselves.

The DOT noted that "removing these requirements will save taxpayers millions. Road construction costs skyrocketed roughly 70% under the last administration. The greenhouse gas reporting burden alone increased project costs and added months to the permitting process."

Seventy percent!

While American families struggled with Biden’s inflation crisis, his Transportation Department was making it even more expensive to build the infrastructure they desperately needed.

Duffy calls out Buttigieg’s failures at every turn

Duffy has made it clear he won’t let Buttigieg’s failures go unnoticed as the former Transportation Secretary eyes another presidential run in 2028.

President Donald Trump has blamed air traffic control problems impacting U.S. airports on former President Joe Biden’s Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg. Writing on Truth Social on Thursday, the president said: "Air Traffic problems caused by the incompetent Biden Administration, as headed by, in this case, a total novice and political hack, Pete B. I WILL FIX IT!!!"

Duffy posted on social media: "Biden and Buttigieg spent more time changing the name of the cockpit to flight deck than fixing our air traffic control infrastructure. No more. @POTUS and I will fix it."

The contrast couldn’t be starker.

While Buttigieg focused on woke language policing and virtue signaling, America’s air traffic control system deteriorated to dangerous levels.

Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy accused the Biden administration of neglecting a government report highlighting issues with the air traffic control system.

The truth about Buttigieg’s record

Despite Buttigieg’s attempts to take credit for infrastructure investments, the former presidential candidate and mayor of South Bend, Indiana, spent much of the Biden administration juggling crises in the rail and airline industries rather than actually delivering results.

Buttigieg claimed in exit interviews that "we are leaving the condition of America’s transportation systems much better than we found them" and touted "66,000 and counting" projects getting support.

But if that were true, why did the Trump administration inherit 3,200 unfinished projects?

The numbers don’t lie, even if politicians do.

Buttigieg was great at announcing projects for political gain, terrible at the unsexy work of actually getting them built.

America is building again under Trump

The difference between the Trump and Biden-Harris approaches to infrastructure couldn’t be clearer.

Under Trump and Duffy, "America is Building Again" is more than just a slogan – it’s reality backed up by results.

While Buttigieg left behind a massive backlog of broken promises, Duffy is systematically clearing that backlog and getting America building again.

"With a third of the last administration’s unprecedented backlog cleared, we will continue to rip out red tape roadblocks to get dirt moving," Duffy stated.

That’s the difference between competent leadership and political theater.

Sean Duffy inherited a disaster from Pete Buttigieg and is methodically fixing it, one cleared project at a time.

The American people deserve leaders who deliver results, not just photo ops and press releases.
