And Priscilla Presley finally came clean about one secret she hid from Elvis for decades.
Elvis showed up unannounced while Priscilla was with another man
Priscilla Presley’s new memoir Softly, As I Leave You: Life After Elvis reveals explosive details about her secret relationship with Robert Kardashian Sr. – the man who would later marry Kris Jenner and father the Kardashian empire.
The 79-year-old admits she carried on the affair in the mid-1970s while Elvis still showed up at her home unannounced, treating his ex-wife like she remained his property.¹
Elvis would arrive at 2 a.m. to see their daughter Lisa Marie, forcing Priscilla to scramble and hide Robert before the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll rang the doorbell.²
"Thank God it was two o’clock in the morning, and I knew who it was, so I quickly tried to get to the door before he rang the doorbell," Priscilla recalled about Elvis’s surprise visits.²
The whole situation was a circus – Priscilla sneaking around with Robert while Elvis kept bankrolling her lifestyle even after their 1973 divorce.
Elvis bought Priscilla anything she wanted and she had zero intention of giving up those perks.³
That’s why she kept the relationship hidden – protecting her access to the Presley fortune mattered more than being honest.³
Insiders say Priscilla worried that if Elvis found out about Robert, the gravy train would stop.³
She clung to her famous last name and status at Graceland like her life depended on it – because financially, it did.³
Robert wanted marriage but Priscilla chose the Presley name instead
The affair started in 1975 after Robert’s brother Tom introduced them at a dinner party.⁴
Both were 30 years old and fresh out of messy relationships – Priscilla had finalized her divorce from Elvis two years earlier while Robert was on-and-off with Kris Jenner.⁴
They moved in together and things got serious fast.⁵
Robert fell hard and started talking marriage, but Priscilla refused to walk down the aisle.⁶
Here’s what she told friends when Robert pushed the issue: "I’m not going to marry anyone until Elvis dies."⁷
Translation: I’m not risking this cash cow for a new husband.
Robert confided to friends that their relationship was "terrific" but complained that "this guy Elvis doesn’t stop controlling her."⁸
He wasn’t wrong – Elvis remained deeply involved with Lisa Marie and used their daughter as leverage to keep tabs on Priscilla.⁸
The relationship hit the rocks when Robert tried turning Priscilla into what friends described as "a domesticated Armenian housewife."⁹
Robert kept pressuring Priscilla to cook for him, which drove her crazy since she’d left Elvis partly to escape those outdated expectations.⁹
One night Priscilla decided to prove herself and cooked an elaborate dinner with asparagus and multiple courses, going all out to impress him.⁹
Robert hated every bite and never asked her to cook again.⁷
That’s when Priscilla made her position crystal clear – she wasn’t marrying anyone while Elvis was alive and the Presley money kept flowing.⁷
The Kardashian connection that makes this story even stranger
The bizarre love triangle gets weirder when you see what happened next.
Robert Kardashian married Kris Jenner in 1978 and became the father of Kourtney, Kim, Khloé, and Rob.¹⁰
Meanwhile, Elvis was dating Linda Thompson during the same period – who later married Bruce Jenner before his transition to Caitlyn.¹¹
So Priscilla dated the future Kardashian patriarch while Elvis dated Caitlyn Jenner’s future ex-wife.
The Presley and Kardashian-Jenner family trees are more tangled than anyone realized.
Even decades after their breakup, Priscilla and Robert stayed in touch.
When Robert was dying from esophageal cancer in 2003, Priscilla called him one final time.¹²
She told Robert she loved him and the call brought tears to his eyes, according to Kris Jenner’s memoir.¹³
The revelation explains why Priscilla never remarried after Elvis – she valued being Mrs. Presley more than any real relationship with another man.
She loved the name, Graceland, and the Nashville mansion more than she ever loved Robert Kardashian.³
Priscilla now faces lawsuit claiming she killed daughter for money
The memoir drops as Priscilla battles a $50 million lawsuit from two former business associates making jaw-dropping accusations.¹⁴
The lawsuit alleges Priscilla ended life support for Lisa Marie in January 2023 to seize control of Elvis’s estate – the same fortune she’d been protecting for 50 years.¹⁴
According to court documents, Priscilla "pulled the plug within hours" after Lisa Marie was admitted to the hospital.¹⁵
The timing was suspicious – she acted before granddaughter Riley Keough could arrive and allegedly ignored Lisa Marie’s directive to "prolong her life."¹⁵
The plaintiffs claim Priscilla knew Lisa Marie planned to remove her as trustee of the irrevocable life insurance trust.¹⁵
Sources say Priscilla declared "I’m the queen. I’m in charge of Graceland" in the week before Lisa Marie’s funeral.¹⁵
Priscilla’s attorney Marty Singer called the allegations "fabricated, malicious lies."¹⁵
But the pattern is unmistakable – Priscilla spent decades hiding relationships and making decisions based on protecting her piece of the Presley empire.
She chose fame and fortune over Robert Kardashian in the 1970s.
Now she stands accused of choosing that same fortune over her own daughter’s life.
The woman who wouldn’t marry Robert because it might cost her the Presley name allegedly pulled the plug on Lisa Marie to keep control of Graceland.
