Pete Buttigieg tries to blame plane crash in Canada on DOGE
Another tragedy occurred as a Delta Airliner crashed at Toronto’s Pearson Airport.
The crash appeared to be the result of pilot error upon landing, where the plane struck the runway, its wing broke off, and the plane landed upside down.

18 passengers were injured and thankfully no one was killed.
Former Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg didn’t want to wait for any facts.
Instead, Buttigieg saw the crash as a chance to score cheap political points by blaming Elon Musk and the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) firing Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) staffers for a crash that took place in Canada.
“The flying public needs answers. How many FAA personnel were just fired? What positions? And why?” Buttigieg wrote on Twitter.
Trump’s Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy came flying off the top rope to smash Buttigieg over these offensive and factually-inaccurate remarks.
Pete Buttigieg left DEI programs in place that exacerbated the shortage of air traffic controllers and never moved to modernize air traffic control systems set up during World War II.
“Mayor Pete failed for four years to address the air traffic controller shortage and upgrade our outdated, World War II-era air traffic control system. In less than four weeks, we have already begun the process and are engaging the smartest minds in the entire world,” Duffy wrote on X.
Duffy brought the facts on how the FAA employees DOGE terminated played no role in air traffic control.
“Here’s the truth: the FAA alone has a staggering 45,000 employees. Less than 400 were let go, and they were all probationary, meaning they had been hired less than a year ago. Zero air traffic controllers and critical safety personnel were let go,” Duffy added.
Duffy said Buttigieg’s tenure was an abject failure, as 90 percent of employees worked from home and Buttigieg ignored critical infrastructure to pursue ideological flights of fancy like the “green new scam.”
“Mayor Pete chose to use this amazing department—that is so critical to America’s success—as a slush fund for the green new scam and environmental justice nonsense. Not to mention that over 90% of the workforce under his leadership were working from home – including him. The building was empty!” Duffy continued.
The defining moment of Buttigieg’s four years running the transportation department was the derailment of a train carrying dangerous chemicals in East Palestine, Ohio.
Buttigieg and Joe Biden ignored the struggling community for days because it voted heavily for Donald Trump.
The last person many Americans want to hear from after a plane crash is Pete Buttigieg.
