President Trump just pulled off something Democrats said was impossible.
The political rulebook got thrown out the window.
And Patrick Bet-David dropped one truth bomb about Trump that left Democrats scrambling for answers.
Trump rewrites what Americans expect from their President
Trump announced a historic peace deal between Israel and Hamas that sent shockwaves through Washington, D.C.¹
The first phase calls for the release of all Israeli hostages and a partial withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza.²
Both sides signed off on the agreement that Trump helped broker through months of negotiations.³
Entrepreneur and podcaster Patrick Bet-David appeared on Fox News to explain what this breakthrough really means for America’s political future.
"There’s a thing that a lot of people have to be paying attention to, and this is, for me, going into 2028, as you put on the scorecard of what skill sets we want of somebody to be the president of the United States," Bet-David told Jesse Watters.⁴
He explained that voters now care more about concrete results than fancy credentials from the right schools.
"I think those days of diplomacy, right degree, right school, right pedigree are behind us," Bet-David said.⁵
The standard for presidential candidates just got raised so high that career politicians can’t reach it anymore.
The bar Trump set that future candidates can’t match
Bet-David laid out exactly what Trump’s achievements mean for anyone thinking about running in 2028.
"The bar is so high now for whoever runs in 2028," he explained. "Everybody will compare that person to what he’s been doing so far."⁶
Trump’s track record speaks for itself — and it’s driving Democrats crazy.
In August, Trump brokered a peace agreement between Armenia and Azerbaijan, ending decades of bitter conflict.⁷
The two former Soviet republics had been locked in fighting over Nagorno-Karabakh for almost four decades.⁸
Trump brought together the leaders of Rwanda and the Democratic Republic of Congo to sign a peace deal aimed at ending 31 years of fighting.⁹
He secured a ceasefire between India and Pakistan after dangerous cross-border missile attacks between two nuclear-armed rivals.¹⁰
Cambodia and Thailand agreed to stop fighting after Trump threatened economic consequences.¹¹
The Trump administration pushed forward negotiations that led to ceasefires between Israel and Iran, and between Serbia and Kosovo.¹²
Some of these deals remain fragile — violence has continued in parts of Congo and Rwanda, and border disputes persist between Cambodia and Thailand.¹³
But Trump did something that career diplomats and previous administrations couldn’t accomplish — he got warring nations to actually sit down and talk.
Democrats spent Trump’s entire first term claiming he would start World War III.
Now he’s stacking up peace deals faster than they can count.
Trump’s comeback story that nobody else can match
Bet-David asked a question that stopped Democrats in their tracks.
"Go to any game in sports, any comeback, any story of redemption," he said. "Tell me a better story of redemption of a living human being in America the last 50 years than Donald J. Trump."¹⁴
"Maybe go back 100 years. Who has redeemed themselves the way this man has? Who has done it? I don’t know."¹⁵
Trump survived two impeachments, multiple indictments, lawfare attacks from Democrats, two assassination attempts, and a coordinated effort by the media to destroy him.
He came back from all of it to win the Presidency again in a landslide.
"Who has come back and was supposed to start World War III?" Bet-David asked. "He’s done some, say, five, seven, nine, 10, 12 peace deals. Who has done that? Not a lot of people."¹⁶
Democrats can’t stand that Trump keeps winning because it exposes everything they said about him as lies.
They told Americans he was dangerous and unstable.
Instead, he’s bringing peace to regions that have been at war for decades.
What voters will demand from 2028 candidates
The Israel-Hamas ceasefire marked Trump’s most complex and hard-fought diplomatic victory yet.¹⁷
World leaders from France, Germany, the United Kingdom, and across the Middle East praised Trump’s role in brokering the agreement.¹⁸
Israeli President Isaac Herzog said Trump "deserves the Nobel Peace Prize" for securing the release of hostages and creating hope for lasting peace in the Middle East.¹⁹
Even Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer couldn’t deny Trump’s achievement.
"Today is a wonderful day," Schumer said after the ceasefire was announced. "I commend the enormous advocacy of the tireless hostage families, President Trump, his administration, and all who helped make this moment happen."²⁰
Democrats praising Trump — that’s how you know something historic just happened.
Bet-David explained what this means for future candidates.
"Hopefully this momentum continues in 2026, and 2026 becomes the greatest year we’ve had in our lifetime," he said.²¹
Future presidential candidates won’t be judged on their Ivy League degrees or years in Washington, D.C. anymore.
Voters will ask one simple question: What did you actually accomplish?
Trump changed the game forever by proving that results matter more than résumés.
Any candidate running in 2028 will have to explain how they can match peace deals in the Middle East, economic growth, border security, and energy independence.
Career politicians who spent decades accomplishing nothing don’t stand a chance.
The American people now know what a President who gets things done looks like.
And they won’t settle for anything less.
