Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer mocks Catholics
Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer took herself out of the running to be Kamala Harris’ running mate because her eyes are on the 2028 race.
Hitching her wagon to Kamala Harris could be a career-ending choice if Trump wins in November.
But it turns out, Whitmer’s career immolation is an act of her own doing.
A bizarre video surfaced on social media of Whitmer, wearing one of those Harris-Walz camo hats the campaign marketed to make it acceptable for working class men to back the Democrat ticket, standing before a kneeling pro-abortion activist named Liz Plank.
Whitmer then fed the woman Doritos.

This scene was clearly a send-up of when Catholics accept the Eucharist during mass, and it didn’t go unnoticed on social media.
Actress Patricia Heaton wrote, “Are they mocking what I think they are mocking?”
Conservative commentator Liz Wheeler slammed Whitmer for blasphemy.
“Democrat Gov Gretchen Whitmer blasphemes the Eucharist, feeding a Dorito to a leftist podcaster as if it’s Holy Communion. Wearing a Kamala hat. It’s wild that some Christians refuse to vote when Democrats obviously loathe you… because you’re Christian,” Wheeler wrote on X.
Doritos symbolism for Democrats
Doritos took on a religious connotation for Democrats because of a fundraising email Kamala Harris sent to supporters.
In the email, Kamala Harris wrote that on Election Night 2016, she stress-ate by wolfing down an entire bag of Doritos as she watched the election returns come in and it became apparent that Donald Trump was going to win the election.
“It was election night for me as well,” Harris wrote to her supporters. “It was incredibly bittersweet. When I took the stage for my acceptance speech — to represent California in the Senate — I tore up my notes. I just said, ‘We will fight.’”
“Then I went home and I sat on the couch with a family-sized bag of nacho Doritos. I did not share one chip with anybody. Not even [second gentleman] Doug [Emhoff]. I just watched the TV with utter shock and dismay,” Harris added. “Two things are true eight years later: I still love Doritos and we still have not stopped fighting.”
Doritos are now one of the Left’s symbols of anti-Trump defiance.
But Whitmer mocking a Priest delivering Communion to a parishioner is the type of woke virtue signaling that got Democrats in trouble in the first place.
Joe Biden won in 2020 because he could get away with falsely presenting himself as a moderate, old white guy Catholic who didn’t follow the woke mob on social media.
Gretchen Whitmer is showing she’s hostage to the cultural Left that’s hostile to religion.
And that doesn’t bode well for her political future.
