Donald Trump promised to secure America’s border on Day One.
He’s been keeping his word in spectacular fashion.
And Pam Bondi just delivered one crushing blow to illegal aliens with this stunning announcement.
Operation Take Back America is sending a clear message
The Department of Justice dropped a bombshell announcement that shows President Trump means business when it comes to securing America’s southern border.
During the second week in June, U.S. Attorneys across five southwestern border districts charged more than 1,150 illegal aliens with immigration-related crimes as part of Operation Take Back America.
This massive enforcement action represents the kind of swift, decisive leadership that Americans voted for in November.
The Justice Department stated that since President Trump’s inauguration, they are "playing a critical role in Operation Take back America, a nationwide initiative to repel the invasion of illegal immigration, achieve total elimination of cartels and transnational criminal organizations."
The operation streamlines efforts from the Department’s Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces and Project Safe Neighborhoods to create a unified approach to border security.
This isn’t just talk – it’s action that’s already producing results across the border.
The numbers tell the story of Trump’s border crackdown
The scale of enforcement under Operation Take Back America is staggering compared to the catch-and-release policies of the Biden-Harris administration.
The Southern District of Texas alone filed 202 cases in immigration and border security-related matters in a single week.
Among those cases, 129 people were charged with illegally entering the country, while another 63 faced felony reentry charges after prior removal.
Most of these individuals had prior felonies including narcotics, violent crime, and other immigration crimes.
The Western District of Texas filed 410 new immigration and immigration-related criminal cases.
Federal prosecutors detailed the case of Albert Sanchez-Jaimes, a Mexican national who was charged with illegal re-entry in Austin after being encountered at the Burnet County Jail on unrelated charges.
Sanchez-Jaimes has a lengthy criminal record that includes four prior removals, a deadly conduct conviction in 2020, multiple convictions for assault on a family member, and two prior convictions for illegal re-entry.
Another case involved Mexican national Daniel Edgar Perez-Cortez, who was arrested on June 5 by the Immigration and Customs Enforcement Fugitive Operations Team in Waco.
Perez-Cortez has a prior conviction for illegal re-entry in 2024, as well as convictions for Driving While Intoxicated and possession of prohibited weapons, and a conviction for deadly conduct discharging a firearm.
He’s now federally charged with illegal re-entry and faces up to 20 years in prison if convicted.
In Arizona, prosecutors brought immigration-related criminal charges against 199 individuals.
The United States filed 74 cases in which aliens illegally re-entered the United States, and also charged 104 aliens for illegally entering the United States.
Federal prosecutors also charged 18 cases against 20 individuals responsible for smuggling illegal aliens into and within Arizona.
Prosecutors also charged one individual for assaulting a Border Patrol Agent.
Human smugglers and drug dealers getting hit hard
Operation Take Back America isn’t just targeting border crossers – it’s going after the entire criminal network that profits from illegal immigration.
In California, federal prosecutors filed 131 border-related cases including charges of assault on a federal officer, bringing in aliens for financial gain, and importation of controlled substances.
One case involved Brenda Esmeralda Sanchez and her adult daughter Marlen Yamille Salmoran, both U.S. citizens, who were arrested on May 31, 2025, and charged with False Personation of Immigration Matters and Aggravated Identity Theft.
Court documents reveal that Sanchez and her daughter tried to bring an unaccompanied child from Mexico across the San Ysidro Port of Entry using identification documents that didn’t belong to the child.
Sanchez already had two prior arrests for alien smuggling, showing the repeat nature of these criminal enterprises.
Another case involved Ricardo Cuevas Diaz and Luis Armando Bojorquez Cazarez, Mexican citizens with border-crossing cards, who were arrested on May 31 and charged with Importation of a Controlled Substance.
In a separate drug case, border agents discovered over 130 pounds of methamphetamine hidden throughout a vehicle when Ricardo Cuevas Diaz and Luis Armando Bojorquez Cazarez attempted to cross at Otay Mesa.
Federal agents arrested Luis Humberto Gonzalez-Sanchez for allegedly running a harboring operation from his Mercedes home, where prosecutors say he sheltered over 100 illegal aliens in six months while charging $150 per person.
If convicted, he faces up to 10 years in prison.
New Mexico targets military security violations
The District of New Mexico filed 211 criminal charges related to immigration and border security matters.
Specifically, 67 individuals were charged with Illegal Reentry After Deportation, 5 individuals were charged with Alien Smuggling, and 50 individuals were charged with Illegal Entry.
An additional 88 individuals were charged with Illegal Entry combined with violation of a military security regulation and Entering Military, Naval, or Coast Guard Property.
These additional charges stem from violations arising from the newly established National Defense Area in New Mexico.
This represents a dramatic shift from the Biden-Harris approach that treated illegal border crossings as a civil matter rather than a national security threat.
The creation of National Defense Areas signals that Trump views the border crisis as exactly what it is – a threat to America’s national security.
Democrats and the media can’t ignore these results
The massive enforcement action under Operation Take Back America proves that securing the border was never impossible – it just required political will.
For four years, the Biden-Harris administration claimed that securing the border was complicated and would take years to implement.
Yet in just weeks, the Trump administration has demonstrated that decisive action and proper enforcement can dramatically reduce illegal border crossings.
The contrast couldn’t be clearer between the America Last policies of the previous administration and Trump’s America First approach.
These aren’t just statistics – they represent real criminals being held accountable for breaking America’s immigration laws.
The message is clear: the days of treating America’s border as a suggestion are over.
Trump is keeping his promise to secure America
President Trump campaigned on securing America’s border, and Operation Take Back America shows he’s delivering on that promise in record time.
The coordination between multiple districts and agencies demonstrates the kind of comprehensive approach that was missing under Biden-Harris.
By targeting not just border crossers but the entire criminal network of smugglers, harboring operations, and drug traffickers, the Trump administration is attacking the problem at its root.
The establishment of National Defense Areas shows Trump is using every legal tool available to protect America’s sovereignty.
This is what real leadership looks like – swift action, measurable results, and a commitment to putting America First.
The border invasion that plagued America for four years is finally being met with the response it deserved from the beginning.
