Americans watched in horror last year as mysterious drones swarmed New Jersey's skies for weeks.
The federal government offered vague excuses and condescending reassurances.
But now one Wyoming Sheriff has just exposed the federal government's biggest secret.
Federal Government Stonewalls Wyoming Law Enforcement For 13 Months
Remember when mysterious drones terrorized New Jersey residents last winter? Biden officials treated Americans like children while refusing to provide straight answers. Trump's team eventually admitted the drones were "authorized by the FAA for research" but the details remained deliberately vague.¹
Turns out that wasn't an isolated incident. Sweetwater County Sheriff John Grossnickle has watched identical drone swarms hover over Wyoming's Jim Bridger Power Plant for 13 straight months. The objects appear in coordinated formations thousands of feet above ground – too high to shoot down from the surface.²
His spokesman Jason Mower told reporters the Sheriff's office exhausted every option. "We've worked with everybody," Mower said. "We've done everything we can to figure out what they are, and nobody wants to give us any answers."³
The phenomenon is so routine now that residents stopped reporting sightings to authorities. They've accepted unexplained aircraft surveilling critical energy infrastructure as "the new normal."⁴
Grossnickle took Wyoming Congresswoman Harriet Hageman out to witness the drones firsthand. She watched the formations with her own eyes but her office refused to comment when reporters asked for confirmation.⁵
Seven Counties Report Identical Sightings Over Energy Infrastructure
Sweetwater County isn't alone. Seven neighboring sheriffs told reporters they've either witnessed similar objects or fielded multiple reports from residents. Back in January, three of those sheriffs documented sightings specifically above oil fields and power plants.⁶
Niobrara County Sheriff Randy Starkey said drone-like craft appeared over the Lance Creek area every night from late October through early March. The activity suddenly stopped with zero explanation.⁷
During a Wyoming National Guard budget hearing, State Senate Appropriations Chair Tim Salazar asked Adjutant General Greg Porter about "UAPs" – the government's new term for UFOs. Porter refused to discuss the topic in open testimony. "I'm aware of some other ones near some other federal facilities that I don't think in open testimony here I could probably say much about that," Porter told lawmakers.⁸
The Wyoming legislature passed a law in 2025 authorizing the Governor to deploy National Guard forces against drones threatening critical infrastructure. But Porter admitted any equipment they acquire now would be obsolete within 12-14 months due to rapid technology advancement.⁹
Federal Government Stays Silent While Drones Target Energy Infrastructure
Federal officials gave Americans that patronizing New Jersey drone explanation – authorized FAA research, hobbyists, nothing to worry about – while identical phenomena plague Wyoming for over a year with complete government silence.
These objects aren't buzzing random farmland. They're conducting coordinated surveillance of America's energy infrastructure. Coal-fired power plants. Oil fields. The exact facilities keeping American homes heated and businesses running.
Sheriff Grossnickle has been dealing with this since November 2024. That's before the New Jersey hysteria even started. The sightings didn't stop after Trump took office. They didn't stop after the FAA issued its reassuring statement about authorized research drones.
They're still happening. Right now. Every night.
Nobody in Washington, D.C. will tell this Sheriff what's flying over his county. Not the FAA. Not the Department of Defense. Not Homeland Security. A Congressional representative personally witnessed the formations and won't discuss what she saw.
The most generous interpretation is the federal government is testing advanced drone technology over American energy infrastructure without informing local law enforcement. That's unacceptable. Sheriffs are elected officials with jurisdiction over those areas and responsibility for public safety.
The less generous interpretation? Foreign adversaries are conducting surveillance operations over critical American infrastructure and nobody wants to admit we can't stop them. China has demonstrated sophisticated drone capabilities. Russia has invested heavily in unmanned aerial systems. Iran has exported drone technology to terrorist proxies worldwide.
Either way, the federal government is lying to the American people. Again. Just like they lied about Hunter Biden's laptop. Just like they lied about COVID origins. Just like they lie about everything that makes them look incompetent or threatens their narratives.
And hardworking law enforcement officers trying to protect their communities get stonewalled by bureaucrats in Washington, D.C. who think rural sheriffs don't deserve the truth.
