New FBI memos expose how Hillary Clinton dodged a corruption investigation that could have destroyed her

Hillary Clinton's charmed political life has survived scandal after scandal.

But new evidence just surfaced that shows how she got away with it.

And new FBI memos expose how Hillary Clinton dodged a corruption investigation that could have destroyed her.

FBI Director Kash Patel uncovered what Obama officials tried to bury

FBI Director Kash Patel and Attorney General Pam Bondi just handed Senate Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley explosive new evidence about how the Obama Justice Department killed multiple investigations into the Clinton Foundation.

The documents paint a disturbing picture of corruption at the highest levels of government during the 2016 election.

Career FBI agents in three cities—New York, Little Rock, and Washington—gathered evidence suggesting Hillary Clinton ran a pay-to-play scheme while serving as Secretary of State.

The Clinton Foundation raked in hundreds of millions of dollars from foreign governments and U.S. interests that had business before Clinton's State Department.

Agents believed they had enough evidence to move forward with a full criminal investigation into public corruption.

But their own bosses shut them down at every turn.

The newly released timeline shows that as early as February 2016, Obama's Justice Department made clear it "would not be supportive of an FBI investigation" into the Clinton Foundation.¹

Deputy FBI Director Andrew McCabe then issued orders that "no overt investigative steps" could be taken without his personal approval—a restriction he repeated multiple times over the following months.²

That effectively froze the investigation in its tracks while Hillary Clinton campaigned for president.

Sally Yates ordered prosecutors to kill the investigation

The obstruction went straight to the top of Obama's Justice Department.

Then-Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates told federal prosecutors to "shut it down" in March 2016, according to the timeline compiled by career FBI agents.³

Prosecutors in multiple districts—including the Southern District of New York and Eastern District of New York—refused to support the investigation with "no explanation given."⁴

When FBI agents in Little Rock tried to obtain basic financial documents to support their investigation on March 1, 2016, they "never received permission to seek the documents."⁵

Agents became increasingly frustrated as they watched evidence pile up while their superiors blocked them from pursuing it.

The timeline records field agents complaining that "HQ would not let it go forward" and that they were told "NO by FBI HQ" when they tried to explore the Foundation's activities.⁶

Meanwhile, the FBI's Los Angeles field office had obtained records from 19 separate Clinton Foundation bank accounts during a campaign finance fraud investigation—before the Justice Department ordered that probe shut down as well.⁷

All three FBI field offices opened preliminary or full investigations in January 2016 after finding evidence of potential corruption.

But within weeks, McCabe and other FBI leadership at headquarters systematically dismantled their ability to investigate.

Agents couldn't recruit new confidential sources, couldn't issue subpoenas, couldn't interview witnesses—all basic investigative steps that any normal corruption probe would require.

The stark contrast with the Trump investigation

The contrast with how the FBI treated Trump couldn't be more obvious.

Just months after Obama officials killed the Clinton Foundation investigation, the FBI launched Crossfire Hurricane—the Trump-Russia collusion probe—in July 2016.

That investigation received immediate approval as a full investigation with all investigative tools available.

Special Counsel John Durham later noted that "the immediate opening of Crossfire Hurricane as a full investigation contrasts with the care taken in connection with the investigation of the Clinton Foundation."⁸

In other words the Deep State-controlled FBI bent over backwards to block the Clinton investigation while racing forward with an investigation of Trump based on opposition research paid for by Clinton's own campaign.

The timeline shows the obstruction continued well past the 2016 election.

When investigators tried to revive the case in 2017 and 2018, they faced new roadblocks about statute of limitations concerns.

One DOJ official said he "wanted to close this chapter and move forward"—essentially admitting they just wanted the whole thing to go away.⁹

McCabe didn't recuse himself from overseeing the Clinton Foundation investigation until November 1, 2016—just days before the election and after he'd successfully neutralized any political fallout for Clinton.¹⁰

Inspector General Michael Horowitz later found that McCabe "did not fully comply with this recusal" even after that date.¹¹

Pam Bondi launches investigation into the coverup

Attorney General Pam Bondi has now authorized a strike force and grand jury to investigate whether this obstruction amounted to a criminal conspiracy.

Current and former prosecutors and agents have offered to cooperate with that investigation.

Grassley praised Bondi and Patel for finally releasing these records after years of stonewalling.

"The mainstream media smeared any investigation into Hillary Clinton as unfounded nonsense, but in reality, line agents and federal prosecutors seeking to follow up on legitimate leads were sidelined by partisan leadership looking to save Clinton's reputation," Grassley said.¹²

The senator noted the "night-and-day departure" between how the Justice Department handled Clinton versus Trump.

For years, Democrats and their media allies insisted there was nothing to investigate regarding the Clinton Foundation.

These newly declassified memos prove they were lying.

The evidence shows a coordinated effort by Obama administration officials to protect Hillary Clinton from criminal investigation while she ran for president—and then to go after Trump with everything they had based on fabricated allegations.

That's not equal justice under law.

That's corruption at the highest levels of government.
