Supreme Court destroys liberal judges’ favorite weapon against Trump

In what might be the most consequential Supreme Court decision of President Trump’s entire presidency, the Supreme Court issued a 6-3 ruling in Trump v. CASA, Inc., finally putting an end to the abuse of nationwide injunctions that have plagued conservative presidents for decades.

The Court ruled that federal district courts lack the constitutional or statutory authority to issue so-called "universal injunctions" — sweeping orders that block government policies nationwide.

Since the moment President Trump took office, low-level activist judges have been exploiting their positions to kneecap the agenda on which he was overwhelmingly elected. In fact, of the 40 nationwide injunctions filed against President Trump’s executive actions in his second term, 35 of them came from just five far-left jurisdictions: California, Maryland, Massachusetts, Washington, and the District of Columbia.

Justice Amy Coney Barrett, writing for the majority, delivered a scathing rebuke to these rogue judges.

"Universal injunctions likely exceed the equitable authority that Congress has given to federal courts," the conservative majority said.

The decision came after three federal judges issued nationwide blocks against President Trump’s executive order on birthright citizenship.

Among the activist judges was Senior U.S. District Judge John Coughenour, who sided with Washington, Arizona, Illinois, and Oregon in declaring Trump’s executive order "blatantly unconstitutional." Coughenour issued a sweeping nationwide block preventing the administration from implementing the policy anywhere in America.

But the Supreme Court had enough of these judicial power grabs.

MSNBC hosts completely lose their minds over ruling

The liberal meltdown was immediate and spectacular.

MSNBC’s Symone Sanders had what can only be described as a complete breakdown on live television.

"I just don’t, I can’t believe that we are asking the question, ‘is the 14th Amendment to the Constitution constitutional?’ That is what, it is crazy. And I am sorry, but people need to call, ‘this is crazy.’ They are asking us… They’re asking us not to believe our own eyes and our own ears. They’re asking us to go against everything that we know to be true. This is insane," Sanders Townsend said.

But Sanders wasn’t done with her hysterical rant.

She went on to claim that Americans were being asked to ignore reality itself, showing just how disconnected from the law these media activists have become.

The Nation’s Elie Mystal took the liberal hysteria to even more ridiculous heights during an appearance on MSNBC.

Mystal concocted an absurd hypothetical about President Trump wanting to "murder Canadian journalists" to try to explain why nationwide injunctions should exist.

The desperation was palpable as these leftist commentators struggled to cope with losing their favorite weapon against conservative policies.

Elena Kagan exposed as a complete hypocrite

But the most damaging revelation came when Justice Elena Kagan’s own words were used against her.

Conservative analyst Scott Jennings devastated Kagan’s credibility during a CNN appearance by quoting her exact words from 2022.

"It just can’t be right that one district judge can stop a nationwide policy in its tracks and leave it stopped for the years that it takes to go through the normal process," Kagan said during a 2022 seminar at Northwestern University’s School of Law.

That was Kagan’s position when Joe Biden was president and conservative judges were issuing nationwide injunctions against his policies.

But when the same principle applied to President Trump’s agenda, Kagan suddenly changed her tune completely.

Justice Sonia Sotomayor wrote in a dissent joined by Justices Elena Kagan and Jackson. "Yet, shamefully, this Court plays along." Sotomayor added that the ruling "disregards basic principles of equity as well as the long history of injunctive relief granted to nonparties".

The hypocrisy was so blatant that even CNN’s Scott Jennings couldn’t help but call it out.

"Justice Elena Kagan in 2022 said that of course when we had a Democratic president now she voted against uh uh the decision on Friday just goes to show you that some of these folks really are hacks".

Barrett delivers brutal smackdown to Ketanji Brown Jackson

Justice Amy Coney Barrett didn’t just deliver a legal victory – she also delivered a personal rebuke to the court’s most radical member.

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson wrote such an inflammatory dissent that Barrett felt compelled to call her out directly in the majority opinion.

Jackson wrote a separate dissent as well, in which she warned that the court’s "decision to permit the Executive to violate the Constitution with respect to anyone who has not yet sued is an existential threat to the rule of law".

Justice Sonia Sotomayor, who wrote the main dissent joined by Jackson and Kagan, broke with Supreme Court tradition by refusing to use the customary "respectfully" before stating her dissent.

Barrett had enough of Jackson’s judicial activism and delivered a withering response.

"JUSTICE JACKSON would do well to heed her own admonition: ‘[E]veryone, from the President on down, is bound by law.’ That goes for judges too," Barrett wrote.

The rebuke was unprecedented and showed just how far Jackson had crossed the line from legal reasoning into political activism.

Trump celebrates massive constitutional victory

President Trump didn’t waste any time celebrating this monumental win for constitutional governance.

"The Supreme Court has delivered a monumental victory for the Constitution, the separation of powers, and the RULE OF LAW in striking down the excessive use of nationwide injunctions … I was elected on a historic mandate, but in recent months, we’ve seen a handful of radical left judges effectively try to overrule the rightful powers of the president".

Attorney General Pam Bondi also celebrated the decision as a victory for the American people.

"Americans are finally getting what they voted for. No longer will we" be held hostage by activist judges, she declared.

Trump made a rare appearance in the White House briefing room after the decision, calling it a "monumental victory for the Constitution, the separation of powers and the rule of law".

The President was right to celebrate.

For too long, unelected judges in a handful of liberal jurisdictions have been able to single-handedly block the will of the American people.

This Supreme Court decision finally restored the proper balance of power between the branches of government and ensured that one rogue judge can’t hold an entire presidential agenda hostage.

The liberal meltdown over this decision only proves how much they relied on judicial activism instead of winning elections and passing laws through the proper democratic process.

Now they’ll have to actually convince the American people instead of running to their favorite activist judges every time they lose an election.
