Mitch McConnell stabbed Donald Trump in the back on this key voteĀ

RINO Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell keeps showing he is anything but a team player.

McConnell keeps escalating his attacks on President Trump.

And Mitch McConnell stabbed Donald Trump in the back on this key vote.

Mitch McConnell voted against all the Trump nominees that the swamp feared the most.

McConnell voted against Pete Hegseth for Secretary of Defense.

McConnell voted against Tulsi Gabbard for Director of National Intelligence.

McConnell voted against Robert F. Kennedy for Secretary of Health and Human Services.

And now, McConnell voted against Elbridge Colby’s nomination for the Defense Department’s Under Secretary for Policy.

McConnell’s gripe with Colby was that Colby rejected the swamp uniparty’s America Last foreign policy.

ā€œElbridge Colby’s long public record suggests a willingness to discount the complexity of the challenges facing America, the critical value of our allies and partners, and the urgent need to invest in hard power to preserve American primacy,ā€ McConnell ranted.

Specifically, McConnell took issue with Colby opposing the war in Ukraine and going to war with Iran on behalf of Israel.

ā€œAbandoning Ukraine and Europe and downplaying the Middle East to prioritize the Indo-Pacific is not a clever geopolitical chess move.ā€

ā€œIt is geostrategic self-harm that emboldens our adversaries and drives wedges between America and our allies for them to exploit,ā€ McConnell added.

McConnell supported all the swamp deals that plunged America $36 trillion in debt.

McConnell supported all the endless wars that spread America thin.

That’s why it struck many – including Vice President J.D. Vance – as particularly galling that McConnell would claim Colby wants to ā€œmanage our declineā€ simply because he opposes the latest endless war fads sweeping through Washington.Ā

ā€œMake no mistake: America will not be made great again by those who are content to manage our decline,ā€ McConnell concluded.

Vance expressed disgust at McConnell’s vote against Colby, writing what will essentially be the obituary for McConnell’s final era in the Senate.

ā€œMitch’s vote today—like so much of the last few years of his career—is one of the greatest acts of political pettiness I’ve ever seen,ā€ Vance posted to X.

McConnell telegraphed votes against key Trump administration national security nominees in an essay published in Foreign Affairs following the election.

Even though the American people voted for Donald Trump to end the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East, McConnell vowed to serve as a bulwark in the Senate for the globalists’ foreign policy.

ā€œThe [Trump] administration will face calls from within the Republican Party to give up on American primacy,ā€ McConnell wrote. ā€œIt must reject them. To pretend that the United States can focus on just one threat at a time, that its credibility is divisible, or that it can afford to shrug off faraway chaos as irrelevant is to ignore its global interests and its adversaries’ global designs. America will not be made great again by those who simply want to manage its decline.ā€

Mitch McConnell is fighting a losing battle with Donald Trump and J.D. Vance over foreign policy.

Voters ratified the America First approach in the November election.

But McConnell may have his eyes on 2028 and sees these fights against the Trump administration as a way to seed the soil for an establishment comeback in the GOP Presidential primary.
