Donald Trump nominated Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to serve as his Secretary of Health and Human Services.
This nomination shook up the D.C. swamp.
And now Mike Pence is scared of Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s nomination for one simple reason.
Establishment Republicans try to organize opposition to Kennedy’s nomination
Donald Trump showed he meant business when he said he would clean out the corrupt public health regime when he named Robert F. Kennedy Jr. his nominee to serve as Secretary of Health and Human Services.
Trump explained that Kennedy would restore trust in government health agencies after officials like Dr. Anthony Fauci lied to the public throughout the COVID pandemic.
“I am thrilled to announce Robert F. Kennedy Jr. as The United States Secretary of Health and Human Services (HHS). For too long, Americans have been crushed by the industrial food complex and drug companies who have engaged in deception, misinformation, and disinformation when it comes to Public Health,” Trump wrote on X.
Trump said Kennedy would help make America healthy again by taking on processed foods and chemical additives that contribute to the chronic disease epidemic in America.
“The Safety and Health of all Americans is the most important role of any Administration, and HHS will play a big role in helping ensure that everybody will be protected from harmful chemicals, pollutants, pesticides, pharmaceutical products, and food additives that have contributed to the overwhelming Health Crisis in this Country,” Trump added.
Never Trumper Mike Pence came out of the gate firing by demanding the Republican-controlled Senate reject Kennedy’s nomination to lead Health and Human Services because of Kennedy’s past support for abortion.
“For the majority of his career, RFK Jr. has defended abortion on demand during all nine months of pregnancy, supports overturning the Dobbs decision and has called for legislation to codify Roe v Wade. If confirmed, RFK, Jr. would be the most pro-abortion Republican appointed secretary of HHS in modern history,” Pence stated.
“On behalf of tens of millions of pro-life Americans, I respectfully urge Senate Republicans to reject this nomination and give the American people a leader who will respect the sanctity of life as secretary of Health and Human Services,” Pence added.
Pence may have other reasons for opposing Kennedy
Donald Trump isn’t nominating Kennedy to handle abortion policy.
Conservative pundit Liz Wheeler wrote on X that what really worried Pence about the Kennedy nomination was the fact that Pence led the COVID taskforce during the pandemic.
Kennedy would come into Health and Human Services not just to clean house, but to expose all the lies and junk science Pence’s task force used in COVID mandates and vaccine development.
“Pence is scared because he was in charge of COVID response & he gave us Fauci & Birx and their “taskforce briefings” and lockdowns and masks and vaccines and death. RFK is about to blow that wide open,” Wheeler wrote.
Pence is trying to mask self-preservation as principle.
