School administrators who sacrifice girls' safety for woke politics are finally facing consequences.
Parents across the country are fed up with officials prioritizing radical gender ideology over protecting female athletes.
And one Michigan athletic director got suspended for defying his boss during a federal investigation.
Monroe High School athletic director Chet Hesson landed on administrative leave after he ignored direct orders from his superintendent and gave an interview defending a biological male playing on a girls' volleyball team.
Superintendent Andrew Shaw sent an internal email on December 8 explicitly instructing all staff to avoid media interviews while a Title IX investigation was underway.¹
"You may have those in the media who will reach out to you for an interview or comment, and you are asked to not do any interviews or give any comments. Please direct the media to the administration building," Shaw wrote.¹
Monroe Athletic Director Went Rogue To Push Transgender Agenda
Despite the clear directive, Hesson appeared four days later on a podcast called "Uncloseted" to voice his support for the male athlete competing against Monroe's girls.
The radical pro-LGBTQ outlet released a snippet where Hesson expressed sympathy for the biological male on Ann Arbor Skyline High School's volleyball team.
"My heart goes out to them, whether they're trans or not, just having that much negative eyeball on you and rhetoric is incredible," Hesson said in the podcast clip.²
What he didn't mention was the girls forced to compete against a biological male who possessed clear physical advantages.
Monroe parent Sean Lechner filed the Title IX complaint on December 5 after his daughter Briley was forced to share a locker room with the male athlete during a match.³
"My daughter was forced to share a locker room, where females undressed, with the male athlete. The presence of a male in the girls' locker room was not disclosed prior to the match, constituting a violation of privacy and bodily integrity protections under Title IX," Lechner's complaint stated.³
School Official Caught Lying About What He Knew
The complaint accused Hesson of lying about when he learned Skyline had a male player on the girls' team.
"Hesson claimed in writing that he did not have prior knowledge of the athlete's sex or gender identity. This was false, as confirmed by a staff member of the athletic community at Monroe High who came forward and provided information to Tom Heck, President of the Monroe Public School Board, in a statement that Chet knew the day before the match," the complaint alleged.³
Shaw announced Hesson's administrative leave in an internal email to staff.
"I am reaching out to let you know Dr. Hesson is on administrative leave. During this time, we ask you to not speculate on why but to be respectful to the process and to him," Shaw wrote.⁴
The superintendent's statement made clear that individual staff members expressing personal opinions don't represent the district's official position.
Monroe High School brought in a third-party investigator to conduct the Title IX investigation to ensure transparency throughout the process.
Hesson's podcast interview revealed where his true loyalties lie – with radical gender ideology rather than protecting female athletes.
He focused entirely on the feelings of the biological male athlete while ignoring the privacy violations and unfair competition forced on the girls at Monroe.
"Not having parents and adults realize the impact that having on somebody is very frustrating, disheartening, and it makes me feel really sick to think about that," Hesson said on the podcast.
The athletic director even claimed adults who oppose males in girls' sports are having a negative impact on children.
What Hesson refuses to acknowledge is that allowing biological males to compete in girls' sports and use their private facilities is what's actually harming young girls.
Trump signed his executive order banning males from women's sports back in February.⁵
Now administrators who spent years pushing this garbage on teenage girls are getting what they deserve.
Hesson sacrificed female athletes on the altar of gender ideology, and Shaw finally called him on it.
