It wasn’t what Donald Trump and his supporters wanted to hear.
Trump’s life could change forever.
And Megyn Kelly just broke this tragic news to Donald Trump.
Juries in deep blue New York City awarded E. Jean Carroll $5 million in a lawsuit where Carroll claimed Trump raped her in a department store dressing room in the mid-1990s and then $83 million in a defamation case where Carroll claimed Trump damaged her reputation by denying her claims.
Carroll never presented any evidence to substantiate the rape allegation.
There was no security camera footage, witness testimony, or forensic evidence to back up her claims.
Carroll also struggled to provide direct evidence that she suffered reputational harm.
Denying defamatory charges is now apparently defamatory itself
Megyn Kelly was appalled by the fact that a jury bought Carroll’s story and then awarded her $83 million because Donald Trump denied what he argued was a false allegation.
Kelly told Glenn Beck that this verdict didn’t bode well for Trump in his criminal trial, where Alvin Bragg is trying Trump for 34 felony counts of falsifying business records under the cockamamie theory that Michael Cohen’s $130,000 nondisclosure agreement payment to Stormy Daniels was an illegal federal campaign contribution, a crime with which not even the Biden Justice Department would charge Trump with.
The former Fox News host told Beck that the jury in Trump’s criminal trial would be pulled from the same pool of left-wing Trump haters that served on the jury in the Carroll cases.
Doesn’t bode well for Bragg charges case
“This is the same kind of jury that he’s going to get on the Stormy Daniels hush money. He has a zero chance of winning,” Kelly stated.
Kelly called the Carroll verdicts “stomach-turning,” saying that they were a “political hit from the beginning.”
Carroll was only able to bring her lawsuit against Trump because Democrats in New York knew the statute of limitations expired on her claim and passed a law allowing for a one-year window for women to file sexual assault suits on claims they were otherwise unable to bring.
“They make her [E. Jean Carroll] like she’s the champion … I love the revisionist history, like she was just this woman who was unfairly targeted by Trump … When in fact, again, it is believed that the law was changed in New York in order to allow this lawsuit against Trump by a Democrat who hates Trump,” Kelly added.
The Democrats have weaponized the justice system where they sue Trump and indict him in the most politically hostile jurisdictions so they can base their General Election campaign message of the verdicts Democrat juries hand out.
It’s an attack on democracy and a dangerous threat to faith in the justice system.
