Mean Girls Star Amanda Seyfried Refused To Back Down After Trashing Charlie Kirk

Dec 13, 2025

Hollywood showed its true colors after Charlie Kirk's assassination on September 10.

Celebrities couldn't resist taking shots at the murdered conservative icon.

And now Mean Girls star Amanda Seyfried crossed a line after she just refused to back down after trashing Charlie Kirk.

Amanda Seyfried doubles down on attacking murdered conservative

Amanda Seyfried sparked outrage when she called Charlie Kirk "hateful" just days after the Turning Point USA founder was assassinated during a speaking event at Utah Valley University.

Kirk left behind a wife and two young children.

That didn't stop Seyfried from immediately piling on.

The 40-year-old actress commented "He was hateful" on an Instagram post about Kirk's death.¹

She also shared another post that read, "You can't invite violence to the dinner table and be shocked when it starts eating."²

Conservatives were furious that Seyfried showed zero respect for a murdered husband and father.

The backlash was swift and brutal.

So Seyfried posted a follow-up trying to walk it back — sort of.

"We're forgetting the nuance of humanity," Seyfried wrote. "I can get angry about misogyny and racist rhetoric and ALSO very much agree that Charlie Kirk's murder was absolutely disturbing and deplorable in every way imaginable."³

Notice she condemned the murder while standing by her attack on Kirk's character.

That's Hollywood's version of an apology.

Seyfried refuses to apologize during new interview

Fast forward to this week, and Seyfried is promoting her new film The Testament of Ann Lee.

Who What Wear asked her about the Kirk controversy.

Seyfried didn't just double down — she went on the offensive.

"I'm not f***ing apologizing for that," Seyfried told the outlet. "I mean, for f's sake, I commented on one thing."⁴

She kept going.

"I said something that was based on actual reality and actual footage and actual quotes," Seyfried stated. "What I said was pretty damn factual, and I'm free to have an opinion, of course."⁵

That's rich coming from someone who lives in a Hollywood bubble and probably never watched a full Charlie Kirk speech.

Seyfried claimed her voice had been "stolen and recontextualized" by critics.

"Thank God for Instagram," she added. "I was able to give some clarity, and it was about getting my voice back."⁶

She initially thought about deleting her original comment because she worried about her family's safety.

But Seyfried ultimately decided to stand by trashing a murdered man.

The actress also took a shot at President Donald Trump during the same interview.

"It's always hard to see people who are tricky and harmful have success — like our gorgeous president, the best possible example of that," Seyfried said sarcastically.⁷

Turning Point USA fires back at Seyfried's disrespect

Turning Point USA wasn't about to let Seyfried's comments slide.

A Turning Point Spokesperson told Fox News Digital that Seyfried "deserved whatever backlash she gets."

"Amanda Seyfried obviously knows nothing about who Charlie Kirk actually was," Andrew Kolvet explained. "She's a victim of her own algorithm and echo chamber."⁸

He nailed the core problem with Hollywood leftists.

They get all their information from radical activist posts on social media.

Then they have the nerve to lecture the rest of America about what's "factual."

"But if your reaction to an innocent husband and father being assassinated in cold blood is to pile on and call him 'hateful' instead of offering condolences, or just remaining silent — I know wild concept — then you are the hateful one," Kolvet stated.⁹

That's exactly right.

Charlie Kirk dedicated his life to empowering young conservatives and defending traditional American values.

He built Turning Point USA into the largest conservative youth organization in the country.

Kirk was a close ally of President Trump and Vice President JD Vance.

Vance said at Kirk's White House memorial that "if it weren't for Charlie Kirk, I would not be the Vice President of the United States."

Kirk left behind a legacy that will inspire millions of young Americans for generations.

But Hollywood elites like Seyfried can't see past their own hatred.

They'd rather attack a murdered father than admit conservatives might actually care about this country.

Seyfried faces boycott calls from conservatives who are tired of Hollywood's disrespect.

Her new film The Testament of Ann Lee hits theaters soon.

But many Americans won't be buying tickets after she showed her true colors.

Hollywood celebrities need to understand something simple — when you dance on the grave of a murdered conservative, there are consequences.

Amanda Seyfried just found that out the hard way.
