Mark Wahlberg and Gwen Stefani just made one announcement that has Hollywood liberals seeing red

Dec 12, 2025

Hollywood is supposed to be the kingdom of woke ideology and progressive virtue signaling.

But a few celebrities are standing up to the Left's intolerance.

And Mark Wahlberg and Gwen Stefani just made one announcement that has Hollywood liberals seeing red.

Hollywood stars urge fans to pray during Christmas season

Actors Mark Wahlberg and Mario Lopez teamed up to deliver a simple message to their millions of fans.

"Happy Sunday, everybody, God bless you," Wahlberg said standing next to Lopez in front of a wooden cross in a video posted to social media.

The Saved by the Bell star didn't hold back either.

"God bless, and stay prayed up, God bless," Lopez added.

But the real punch came when they urged their followers to download Hallow, a Catholic prayer app that's become wildly popular among Christians across America.

The app has been downloaded more than 20 million times and logged over 600 million prayers by August 2024.¹

Gwen Stefani jumped into the conversation with her own message about the true meaning of Christmas.

"It is important this holiday season to spend time in prayer," Stefani told her 17.7 million Instagram followers. "That is what Christmas is all about, letting God into our hearts, and letting Jesus bring us His peace."²

The No Doubt frontwoman didn't stop there.

She encouraged her massive fanbase to join her in daily prayer during the Advent and Christmas season through Hallow.

This isn't some publicity stunt either.

Last year, Stefani shared a similar Christmas message urging her followers to spend the 25 days leading up to Christmas in prayer.

Hollywood Left erupts over celebrities promoting Christian faith

The reaction from the woke mob was swift and predictable.

Leftist "Selling Sunset" star Chrishell Stause went after Stefani in the most condescending way possible.

"Gwen-DON'T SPEAK. Please take your own advice on this one," Stause wrote in response to a video criticizing the app.³

Podcast host Matt Bernstein tried to smear Hallow as an "anti-abortion prayer app," as if praying for the protection of innocent life is somehow controversial.

The Left's fury reveals their real agenda.

They can't stand seeing celebrities use their platforms to promote traditional Christian values instead of the latest progressive cause.

Social media exploded with rage-filled comments attacking Stefani for daring to encourage prayer.

"I love you, Gwen but unfortunately I ain't no Hallow app girl," one user sneered.

"God is free, Gwen. Touch some grass," another mocked.

These attacks show the Left's deep-seated hostility toward Christianity.

They're perfectly fine when celebrities lecture Americans about climate change or transgender ideology.

But suggest people should pray to Jesus Christ during Christmas?

That crosses a line for Hollywood's thought police.

Prayer app backed by conservatives becomes cultural flashpoint

What really has the Left panicking is who's behind Hallow's success.

The app secured $105 million in venture capital funding, including investments from Vice President JD Vance and entrepreneur Peter Thiel.⁴

That's right – the same JD Vance who helped Donald Trump win the White House is also backing the most popular Christian prayer app in the world.

Hallow made history in February 2024 by becoming the first religious app to hit number one on Apple's App Store.

The milestone came after a Super Bowl advertisement featuring Mark Wahlberg and The Chosen star Jonathan Roumie.

Chris Pratt also promotes the app, having previously revealed he listens to Father Mike Schmitz's Bible in a Year podcast featured on Hallow.

These aren't washed-up actors desperate for relevance.

These are A-list celebrities with massive followings who are choosing to use their influence to promote Christian faith during the most important season of the year.

Watch what happens when celebrities won't play by Hollywood's rules.

Wahlberg, Lopez, and Stefani just told millions of Americans to pray to Jesus Christ during Christmas — and the woke mob lost their minds.

That's not supposed to happen.

Celebrities are supposed to lecture you about climate change and pronouns, not encourage you to download a prayer app.

But look at the numbers.

Hallow went from 1.5 million downloads in December 2021 to more than 20 million today.

Those aren't just downloads — those are regular Americans who are done with Hollywood's garbage and want something real.

You know what really has the Left panicking?

They can celebrate when actors push abortion.

They can cheer when musicians attack traditional marriage.

They can applaud when directors mock Christianity in their films.

But three celebrities encouraging prayer during Christmas?

That crosses a line they can't tolerate.
