Lindsey Graham devastated after this news broke that will end his days of torpedoing America

Jun 20, 2025

Senator Lindsey Graham has been skating by in Washington for far too long.

The South Carolina Republican has been a thorn in President Trump’s side for years.

And Lindsey Graham was devastated after this news broke that will end his days of torpedoing America.

Two new polls spell doom for Graham’s 2026 re-election

Senator Lindsey Graham likes to position himself as one of President Trump’s closest allies in the Senate.

But behind closed doors, Graham has been undermining the America First agenda at every turn.

Now two damaging polls show that South Carolina voters are finally catching on to Graham’s act.

A new Quantus Insights poll of 600 registered South Carolina voters delivered a brutal reality check to Graham’s campaign.

His statewide approval rating sits at a pathetic 41%, with 46% of voters disapproving of his performance and 13% unsure.

For a Republican Senator in a deep red state like South Carolina, those numbers are absolutely disastrous.

Even worse for Graham, the poll revealed that 68% of Republicans approve of him while 25% disapprove – meaning nearly one in four Republican voters now reject him.

That’s not just political friction – that’s a massive warning sign that the GOP base is ready to dump him.

When asked about supporting Graham versus a challenger in 2026, South Carolina voters sent a clear message.

A stunning 31% of all respondents said they would "definitely support a challenger" to Graham, while another 23% said they "probably would."

Only 13% of voters prefer Graham, with just 8% saying they "firmly back" the Senator.

Among Republican voters specifically, the numbers are even more telling.

Just 34% of GOP voters expressed loyalty to Graham, while 45% are inclined to support someone new in the Republican primary.

Graham struggles against challenger

The Quantus poll also tested Graham against Republican primary challenger Mark Lynch, the Greenville businessman who announced his candidacy in February.

While Graham leads 48% to 23%, he’s stuck under the critical 50% threshold that spells trouble for any incumbent.

Nearly one in three Republican voters remain undecided, creating a massive opening for a credible challenger to exploit.

"That alone is a red flag for any incumbent," the pollsters noted. "The potential for a breakout challenger remains real."

A separate Winthrop University poll confirmed Graham’s vulnerability.

That survey showed Graham’s approval rating trailing other Republican figures like President Trump (45%), South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster (42%), and Senator Tim Scott (41%).

Graham’s approval rating in the Winthrop poll was just 34%.

About 40% of respondents disapprove of how Graham is handling his duties, compared to only 34% who approve and 25% who weren’t sure.

Graham’s biggest problem is his betrayal of Trump’s agenda

The reason for Graham’s collapsing support is simple – he’s been a bad influence on President Trump and a roadblock to the America First agenda.

Graham has consistently pushed for endless foreign wars, particularly in Ukraine, while South Carolina voters want America to focus on domestic issues.

His proposal to raise the Social Security eligibility age is wildly unpopular with the working-class voters who form the backbone of Trump’s coalition.

Graham also represents the worst of the Washington, D.C. establishment that Trump was elected to drain from the swamp.

While he talks a big game about supporting Trump in public, Graham has been working behind the scenes to water down the President’s most effective policies.

South Carolina Republicans are finally waking up to the fact that Graham is not the conservative fighter he pretends to be.

Scott Huffmon, director of the Winthrop Poll, acknowledged that Graham is "certainly more ripe for a challenge than any of the others."

Graham faces an uphill battle to save his career

Graham’s campaign is clearly worried about these devastating poll numbers.

Press secretary Abby Zilch tried to dismiss the Winthrop polling by asking, "What good is a political poll that doesn’t survey likely or even registered voters?" – even though the Quantus poll specifically surveyed registered voters.

"The more effective you are in helping enact President Trump’s agenda, the more Democrats want to take you down," Zilch said in a desperate attempt to spin the bad news.

But the truth is that Graham hasn’t been effective at advancing Trump’s agenda at all.

Instead, he’s been one of the biggest obstacles to draining the swamp and implementing real conservative reforms.

The America First movement needs fighters in the Senate, not establishment politicians who talk tough but fold when it matters most.

Graham has had nearly three decades in Washington, D.C. to prove himself, and he’s failed the conservative movement time and again.

With Trump back in the White House, now is the perfect time for South Carolina Republicans to elect a true America First champion to the Senate.

The polling data makes it clear that Graham is vulnerable and ripe for defeat in 2026.

All it takes is the right challenger with the courage to take on the establishment and fight for the policies that Trump and his supporters actually want.

South Carolina deserves better than Lindsey Graham, and these polls prove that voters are ready for change.
