Kellyanne Conway blames Democrat policies for creating a terrible economy
Former President Joe Biden brought down Democrats in the 2024 Election after years of economic turmoil.
Democrats are going on the offensive against President Donald Trump over the economy.
They tried to blame him for the high prices of eggs after Biden slaughtered more than 100 million chickens to fight bird flu.
Egg prices have been dropping as the population of egg-laying hens rebounds and the Trump administration’s policies to combat bird flu pay dividends.
Now, Democrats are trying to attack Trump over the stock market correction.
Former Trump White House advisor Kellyanne Conway noted that voters disapproved of the economy under Biden and blamed Democrats for creating the problem during an appearance on Fox Business.
“We’ve seen in the last 100 days since he was elected, Liz, that the Democrats are feckless, reckless, and rudderless,” Conway explained. “And this is not a good message for them either, because I believe that where some folks on Wall Street and some folks, some of our billionaires, and certainly some of our Democratic legislators are exercising petulance.”
Conway argued that voters would have patience with Trump to turn the economy around.
“Most Americans are willing to exercise patience,” Conway said. “They believe at a macro level that President Trump will bring us to a better economy. Remember, Bidenomics was as unpopular as Biden himself. There was a reason for that, Liz.”
Democrats don’t have a leg to stand about the economy
Conway said that voters know that it was reckless spending under Biden that created inflation and caused the cost of living to surge.
“People felt like the Biden-Harris government, the Democrats, Chuck Schumer right there, looking ridiculous with his avocado and his beer, looking completely ridiculous,” Conway stated. “People know that those Democrats spent money we don’t have on things we didn’t need, and that our prices went up.”
She noted that it wasn’t tariffs that sent the economy spiraling under Biden while he poured money into climate change and woke policies.
“High-quality, high-paying jobs went down, and yet there were no tariffs,” Conway said. “It was because of man-made policies over government spending, ridiculous programs like climate compliance in agencies and departments that had nothing to do with climate, DEI everywhere, spending all kinds of money that people know was objectionable.”
There are already green shoots in the Trump economy with inflation easing after it spiked in the final report of Biden’s Presidency.
Gas prices and egg prices are coming down.
The Trump administration is dismantling the Green New Deal policies issued by Biden’s Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
Conway said that the public’s perception of the economy is shifting under Trump.
“Well, it’s shifted because now Donald Trump’s the president, so that clouds even the most reasonable person’s judgment. They look at everything through the prism of Donald Trump, who has the Democrats exactly where he wants them, Liz,” Conway stated. “Most people recognize that over time that economy will work more for people.”
Donald Trump has leeway from voters as he works to implement his agenda and get the economy back on track.
