New FBI director Kash Patel is tackling corruption in Washington, D.C.
He was tipped off about one growing scandal.
And Kash Patel asked for one set of records that was every Democrat’s worst nightmare.
Justice Department and FBI are after records in Biden corruption scandal
Former President Joe Biden used the $1 trillion Inflation Reduction Act as a green energy slush fund.
$27 billion from the bill was doled out from the bill to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for the newly created Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund in 2023.
The Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund was used to give grants to environmental activist groups led by Democrat donors and insiders.
Biden’s EPA tried to avoid transparency by depositing $20 billion in grants for the program in a Citibank during the final days of the administration.
These were some of the biggest government grants in American history.
A $2 billion grant was given to a group headed up by Stacey Abrams, a two-time failed Democrat candidate for Georgia Governor.
Biden’s EPA gave a $20 million grant for environmental justice to the Young, Gifted & Green that its CEO LaTricea Adams applied for while she was serving on a White House advisory board.
Young, Gifted & Green, which had raised less than $3 million in its existence up to that point, was supposed to use the money to make homes in disadvantaged communities in Memphis, Tennessee, more energy efficient.
The Justice Department has ordered environmental activist groups that received money from the Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund to appear in federal court and hand over records to the FBI, according to a report from Politico.
Acting U.S. Attorney for Washington, D.C. Ed Martin has ordered two of these groups to turn over communications with the EPA and records related to programs funded with Greenhouse Gas Reduction grants to the FBI.
Officials with these groups will also have to testify in court.
A growing green energy scandal
Biden EPA official Brent Efron was recorded on an undercover video in December by Project Veritas discussing the rush to get as much money out the door as possible before the Trump administration took office.
“It truly feels like we’re on the Titanic and we’re throwing like gold bars off the edge,” Efron said.
The EPA wanted to get taxpayer money into the hands of its political allies before the Trump administration had a chance to claw it back.
Trump EPA Administrator Lee Zeldin has been trying to reclaim taxpayers’ money from this fraudulent scheme.
“The Biden administration used so-called ‘climate equity’ to justify handouts of billions of dollars to their far-left friends,” Zeldin told the Free Press. “It is my utmost priority to get a handle on every dollar that went out the door in this scheme and once again restore oversight and accountability over these funds. This rush job operation is riddled with conflicts of interest and corruption.”
Justice Department and FBI officials are starting to investigate this growing scandal, which could become the biggest of Joe Biden’s scandal-plagued Presidency.
