They thought they found a winning strategy.

Karoline Leavitt shuts down James Carville’s claim that Trump’s popularity is collapsing
Democrats have been trying to figure out how to oppose President Donald Trump as he enacts his agenda at breakneck speed.
They’ve struggled to find a message since he took office.
Veteran Democrat strategist James Carville argued that Democrats should “play possum” and “sit back” because Trump was already in the middle of implosion during an appearance on Fox News’ Hannity.
“I’m telling the Democrats, just sit there, play possum. Let them go, let them go, let them go. Poll numbers have declined, and the collapse is already underway,” Carville claimed. “Just let the ball come to you. We don’t need to be aggressive now. Trump is the lowest rated President at this point of any President in American history.”
Fox News host Sean Hannity cited several polls that found Trump with a positive approval rating.
Democrats don’t have a message or a plan to offer voters.
So Carville is making a risky bet that Trump will do their work for them.
White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt shot down the idea that Trump’s in the middle of a polling collapse during an appearance on Hannity.
“I want to thank you tonight, Sean, for fact-checking James Carville for the lies that he pushed on your program last week,” Leavitt said. “Unfortunately, James represents the deranged and out-of-touch Democrat Party who continue to deny the reality that this country loves Donald Trump.”
Donald Trump is pushing a popular agenda
Leavitt noted that Trump has the highest approval rating ever, despite Democrats and their media allies subjecting him to smears and witch hunts.
“The Harvard/Harris Poll today is incredible when you look issue by issue,” Leavitt explained. “The vast majority of the American people support what President Trump is doing. You showed it. 81% of the American people support deporting illegal migrant criminals from our nation’s communities.”
Major parts of the Trump agenda are overwhelmingly popular with voters, which explains why the President’s approval rating is higher than ever.
“77% of Americans support a full audit into the waste and fraud that this federal government has been spending their tax dollars on, and that is the exact mission of DOGE [Department of Government Efficiency],” Leavitt said. “So these numbers, these approval ratings, are what you get when you have a president who actually does what he promised he was going to do and that’s why the Democrats are facing their worst, lowest approval rating since 2018. Not even 40% of the American public supports the current Democrat Party.”
The Harvard/Harris poll also found that securing the border had the support of 76% of Americans.
Trump is on the right side on a slew of issues that are overwhelmingly popular with the public.
Former Vice President Kamala Harris got shellacked in the last election because she didn’t offer anything other than not being Trump.
Democrats haven’t learned their lesson, and are employing the same failed strategy Kamala used.
