White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt is emerging as one of the stars of the second Trump administration.
Leavitt struck paydirt, and now Democrats will be scrambling in damage control mode.
And that’s because Karoline Leavitt couldn’t believe she discovered this damning video.
Getting inflation under control means getting spending under control.
President Trump directed the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) to identify trillions in wasteful spending for the GOP congress to slash.
The Democrat Party drew the battle line at DOGE’s mission and positioned themselves as the white knights riding in to protect federal bureaucrats from the axe falling.
Democrats are trying to scare Americans into thinking President Trump, Elon Musk, and DOGE launched an unprecedented campaign to burn the government to the ground.
Leavitt mocked this fake hysteria by posting a video to social media from back when Barack Obama served as President where Obama said achieving DOGE-like goals was a top priority for his administration.
“To all of the Democrats who are planning to protest this week, here’s an explanation on DOGE, from your party’s own beloved leaders!” Leavitt posted to social media.

When Barack Obama took office in 2009, the national debt was $11.9 trillion.
Obama made a big dog and pony show of telling the American people that his administration would eradicate waste, fraud, and abuse.
“We can’t sustain a system that bleeds billions of taxpayer dollars on programs that have outlived their usefulness or exist solely because of the power of politicians, lobbyists or interest groups,” Obama declared.
Eliminating waste, fraud, and abuse is also DOGE’s mission statement.
Obama then promised to conduct a thorough audit of the government’s books and zero out wasteful and fraudulent spending.
“We are going to go through our federal budget as I promised during the campaign, page by page, line by line eliminating those programs we don’t need and insisting that those that we do need operate in a sensible, cost effective way,” Obama added.
This is the exact same plan of attack that DOGE and Elon Musk promised, but the only difference is Democrats knew Obama never meant a word of what he said.
By the time Obama left office, the national debt ballooned to $20 trillion thanks to wasteful socialist spending like the so-called “stimulus” bill and Obamacare.
Musk and the DOGE team know that failure isn’t an option, as Musk has repeatedly said the $36 trillion national debt left behind by Joe Biden is an existential crisis for America.
Barack Obama paid lip service to fiscal responsibility while exploding the debt.
Democrats cheered Obama for proposing his own DOGE-esque initiative.
That was just one of Barack Obama’s many broken promises.
It now falls to President Trump to avert a national calamity.
